What a golden little find. right near the main road, excellent cycle way access and near enough to just about everything. I was there to spend a couple of days with my 10yo, had bikes etc with us and this was a great place. Comfy bed, good shower, AC in the unit and a kitchen, and all with enough space to leave two mountainbikes when we headed off with the car - a pub right across the road, (great pizza!) and a superette just 50m away.

What we found: A spacious unit, with a king size double in large bedroom, and a bunk bed plus a single bed in a second bedroom, open plan dining and lounge with 42" TV and DVD player and 2 seater couch that turns into an extra bed, bathroom with jacuzzi bath and separate shower and finally a fully equipped kitchen.

The motel is part of larger venue, comprising a bar and a restaurant. The restaurant is neat offering good quality meals at a reasonable price.

The staff is very kind and helpful: they delivered the ordered meal to our unit, took note of defective bulbs, and not only did the regular chores, but also washed our dishes.

Last, but most certainly not least, is that our dogs (three Irish Water Spaniels) were allowed in the unit.

We love Hawkes Bay and specially Napier. Therefore this was our first, but certainly not our last visit to this motel, offering high value for money.

We recently stayed at the Clive Motel for 3 nights with four other couples.
We had the best time and was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay. Our units were well presented and very clean. We were well looked after and nothing was a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful.
We will definitely return.
