We loved our stay in this ideally located hotel, it is literally a stones throw from the ski slopes. Also within easy reach of hire shops, ticket office and great pubs. We loved the Italian cuisine, four traditional styled courses every evening and a good selection of breakfast options in the morning. Remember it’s in Italy so don’t expect burger and chips or a full English. Wine in the dining room was reasonably priced and much cheaper than friends were paying in another hotel (half the price). The ski room was spacious and we particularly liked the heated boot rack.

The hotel reception area has obviously been recently and tastefully renovated. The rooms are fairly basic and a little disappointing, although comfortable they are not four star standard. They need to be upgraded in line with the reception area.

Undoubtedly a huge plus feature of the Miramonti is its pool and spa, luxurious and beautiful! Unfortunately it is only open from 2:30 - 7:30 pm. The small gym is however open 24hours.

We would return to the Miramonti and recommend it as a great Italian Hotel.

Got to the hotel as part of a package, as it was the only 4* option, and despite mediocre reviews.

Can summarize that most reviews got it right:
Hotel is the closest you can get to the slopes (across the street from the "magic carpet") and is walking distance from anywhere important.
Rooms are small, barely furnished, but clean.
Heating was an issue, the heat in the room was unbearable, and no way to control it, so had to open the window from time to time. TV was a sad joke.
Beds were awful, which is an issue when your body is sore.

In general the Hotel is stale. Comfortable for skiers, less so for other visitors. Spa and pool in the hotel are great (mandatory bathing cap for all), although open for limited hours.
Staff are friendly, most but not all can speak English, nice crew in the dining hall.
Food (HB) was very limited. one of our group was vegetarian which became a daily struggle. Food was really disappointing, but the same kitchen is shared with a restaurant that serves excellent pizzas, and other nice dishes (hint)

Room Tip: make sure you are away from the main escalators, and elevators if you value your sleep

We spent a week in this Hotel. Hotel was booked through Travel Agent with Halfboard. As a welcome we had in the bathroom a towel with a rest of excrements. This has been promptly solved by front desk clerk, but the first impression was very bad. The booked room as well as corridors are aged and not meintained.
A special story was dinner. Such a chaos and disorganization. Out of the 5 nights there was 5 time potatoes served as a side dish. It seems the Chef doesn't know any other stuff but potatoes. Overall the quality of food was bad.
If you want have a bathrobe, you have to pay for it........4* Hotel. My bathrobe had a big hole on the back.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location.
I believe the hotel doesn't have any management.

Room Tip: Do not expect any bathroom amenities beside the cheepest shampoo and shower gel

Second time at the miramonti. Best location just cross the road to the main lifts.
All the staff are brilliant, can't do enough for you.
The spa is the best I have had when skiing.
I love the food, traditional Italian.
Rooms aren't luxurious but well kept, nice an warm and always hot water. What more do you need when skiing.

Room Tip: Front of the hotel as they are away from the disco.

The people that run the Grand Hotel Miramonti on a day to day basis are wonderful. They're helpful, courteous, eager to be of service.

The Miramonti is one of the best placed hotels to reach the slopes, right across the street from two ski lifts, and close enough to the town, its location makes it very attractive.

Sadly, that is about all that can be said in the Miramonti's favor. They claim that it's a four star hotel. I don't really know how the Italians award stars, but I find it difficult to believe that this rises to four of them.

Our Room. Cramped and old-fashioned. Not nearly enough power outlets. Also, the door to the balcony didn't seal properly at the bottom, so we the carpet right by the door would be constantly damp.

Heating - for the first four nights of our stay I woke up in the middle of the night shivering. Someone decided that we didn't really need heat or something and simply turned off the furnace. This, in case you're wondering, was a general thing, not only our room.

The lobby is too small for the property so not enough guests could sit there in the evening. There is a bar at the property, but it's not near the lobby, so it wasn't even possible to sit there with friends to chat and have a drink.

Wi-Fi. The establishment offers free Wi-Fi. If you can get it. It's like they installed a tiny little router that would be insufficient in a private residence and made do with that for a huge property. The only time when it was possible to get any work done was in the middle of the night. I wonder if perhaps that's why they turned off the heating? So that I'd wake up and be able to get work done.
