We went in October and need to book (at the Tourist Office) several days in advance - it is understandably very popular. Our 3 hour trip began at 10am in Sata' Agata. The weather was lovely with very clear views. The train offers basic comfort and, if you have long legs, avoid the from seats over the wheel arches. Our driver was great - his humour approriate and his enthusiasm, infectious! We visited a Benedictine Monastery with a great view from the roof. We stopped at some great viewpoints with Capri and the bay clearly visible. We sampled Limoncello at the factory and mozzarella and olive oil at another wonderful 'great house' producer. We travelled around Salerno bay - a poignant reminder of the forgotten 'first D-Day landings' there in 1943. All-in-all, a fabulous experience which I can recommend without any reservations - Book early!

We had a very pleasant afternoon trip around the local countryside with stips to taste lemoncello and cheese. Very popular and you need to book.

Laughed, giggled, hooted and tooted our way around the whole of the Campania area for three hours on this mad train ride. The driver was a real character and we had such fun. Interesting stops at various points of interest, the abbey, lemoncello factory, cheesemaking factory, etc. Fabulous views, sunshine and laughter. What more could you possibly want. Well worth the 20e. It's a must do!!

What can I say, the driver is a madman but had us all laughing and hollering from the moment we climbed aboard. The best e20 we spent, easily the best value for money we had. Go on this tour early on in your stay, that way you'll see all the local area and know where to go and what to do the rest of your holiday. I really can't add anything to this review that hasn't been said so just take our word for it, it's magic. 10 am start finish by 1pm, you've still got the rest of the day to do you own thing.

The whole train arrived to pick us up! We were just 4 and instructed to sit in a line in the middle! The train then tore along (in as much as it was able) round the narrow, pavementless bends, all the way up to the village of Sant Agnello where we were joined by other intrepid travellers! We laughed all the way;I’m sure the Local Italians are used to seeing a whole train with only four people aboard but we felt quite mad - hooting every time the train whistled! The trip is everything others have said and thoroughly enjoyable but it does get very booked up AND ends the season at the end of October.
