“Interesting Village”

Reviewed 18 May 2014

We spent a few hours in Caudebec in May 2014 while on a river cruise. During our time there, I walked around the village and saw most of the sites, many of which, however, were closed, including the church. The architecture of some of the buildings was interesting, but I was not particularly overwhelmed with what I saw.

Beautiful architecture in a very pretty town - it is a shame that there is not much to do there. We thought that sitting beside the Seine it would be a buzzy place but it wasn't.

It's a nice town, wit a little stream going through it, a cathedral that has been shot full of bullet holes during WWII and the Tempelar's house dating back to the 13th century.

There are a lot of restaurants alongside the Seine river front, and you can eat and drink while watching the big boats come past.

Lovely little town/ village, beautiful cathedral. We lunched on the foreshore looking at the river seine, watch the boats and the car ferry across to the other side andirons all free. To cross with the car that is. Victor Hugo museum a. Few kilometres away, very interesting
