This is a fantastic way to spend the day. My wife and I were very keen on doing this every time we've headed to the West Coast but never had the time or money to do it until now. It is worth every cent. Robyn's and Steven guide you through the process with care and a few jokes which have clearly been told a few thousand times. It honestly is a magnificent way to spend a day. The end product is something we're each proud of and we were fortunate enough to have a gorgeous, warm sunny day too. You can toss axes at a big wooden target during any wait times. You forge your own knife shape from scratch and you enjoy the experience of doing it.
Worth every cent. Do it!

Awesome day hosted by a quintessential kiwi couple with great knowledge of their craft. My 12yr old son loved his day and came away with a new appreciation of hand made craftsmanship skills from days past, plus a really cool knife. The hosting, humour, lunch, axe throwing, and rustic surroundings combine for a truly memorable day, capped off by a beer & giggle at days end. Said knife was used a couple days later to clean up a Haast river Kawhai, ready for the smoker, caught by same son!!! Still got smile on his face a week later. Cheers Steve & Robyn. And all the very best. Neil & Josh

Rainy day, no matter! Never used a forge or tools - not an issue. Be prepared for a fantastic experience making your own beautiful rimu handled knife under the expert guidance of Stephen and Robyn.
