“Great place to stay with things to do and see right out of the front door!”

Spent a week with my wife, daughter and dog in February and no one day has been the same in terms of weather and the way the landscape changed. The most appealing fact regarding the strategic position of the lodge is that it is right at the bottom of the mountains and you can start your walking or climbing adventure straight from the lodge's door, without needing to drive anywhere.

“Excellently positioned little cottage in a beautiful landscape”

We arrived at "the loft" and were warmly welcomed by Anne. The cottage was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed. There were even a few store cupboard essentials!
My favourite room was the bedroom with it's pitched ceiling and lovely big skylight.
The cottage is perfectly situated just outside (about 15min walk) from newtonmore village. Home of the wildcat experience and trail and highland folk museum and some very special cafés. A really friendly pretty little village. I can recommend the farm along from the loft for their home grown sausages and eggs.
We had a really lovely relaxing week with lots of walking and adventure with our two dogs.
Thank you Anne and Ian

“A quiet, nice and cosy cottage”

Hello everyone, we've had a great time at Loft Cottage. We're a family of 4 (2 kids) and we've really enjoyed our stay!
The host was welcoming, friendly and helpful whenever we had a question. The cottage is perfect for families as the bedroom is upstairs - so parents can spend a nice evening downstairs while the kids are sleeping.
It's very quiet, hardly any cars during the day - our kids were often outside and spent much time with the horses on the other side of the road. Shops, museums and restaurants of Newtonmore can be reached within a very short time, though you need your car as the cottage is a wee bit outside of the village.
We've had so much fun there and the views were fantastic! We'd recommend Loft Cottage to family and friends. Thanks Anne for a great time there.
