I don’t often write bad reviews, but I felt I had to warn everyone of what to expect if they are planning a day out at this resort.
Firstly, and very importantly, no Covid rules are being followed. Too many people are being crammed into the park, no social distancing whatsoever.
Queues are over 60mins long at least, if you are lucky.
My son and friends decided to go yesterday(9/6/21) as an end of exam treat. Spent all their saved pocket money to go on just 1 ride the whole day.
They also spent 90 minutes in the scorching sun queueing for a ride only to be told that the ride had shut down once they had got to the entrance.
This is not a fun day out!!!
By late afternoon, they were so fed up of queueing, they left.
Food outlets were very busy & again long queues. Only way to get on the rides were to pay an extra £10 per ride to fast track.
Quite an expense for a 20 second ride....!!!!!
Avoid at all costs.
Management need to sort out their daily intake. Its not about making money because youve been shut for ages. Think about all these kids going home to families when there’s been no social distancing whatsoever...............

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review here at THORPE PARK Resort.

We are so sorry to hear that your son and his friends were disappointed with their visit.

Apologies that there were long queues and the park seemed to busy. I can confirm that we are operating under a reduced capacity but due to the additional measures that we have in place to keep our guests safe, such as regular enhanced ride cleaning and social distancing whilst riding, queues can build up. We are sorry that this meant they could only ride 1 ride on the day.

We do apologise that it seemed like there were no Covid-19 measures in place. The healthy and safety of our guests is our number one priority and therefore we have reviewed how we operate every part of the Resort. We have markers in all of our queues to encourage social distancing and our staff enforce this too. If you would like to read more, please have a read through the following link! https://www.thorpepark.com/about-thorpe-park/coronavirus/safety-measures/?_ga=2.4754490.884441823.1623484710-1782378305.1622361789

We are sorry that a ride was closed on the day. We would only close a ride if it was in the best interests of our guests and our ride technicians would have been working hard to get this back up and running as soon as it is safe to do so.

If you would like to discuss you day further, please send us an email (customer.services@thorpe-park.co.uk) stating your case number (7326683).

Thanks,
Leah

We came on 10th June 2021, 2nd visit of the year with family. On a very busy day 90+ queues for most of it still managed 12 rides including nemesis inferno and collosus. Was great to try out black mirror and derren browns ghost train for the first time and also to get back on walking dead the ride since 2019. The 3 water rides were also great fun in this heatwave theres so much other things to do other than just the big 5 coasters when the park is busy, also always worth a pitstop at infinity bar and grill for a pint the food is great too. This park gets so much unnecessary hate thanks for all that you do

Hi there!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5* review at THORPE PARK Resort.

We are so pleased to hear that you had a great day out on the island.

Apologies that there were long queues on the day of your visit. We currently have a number of additional health and safety measures in place such as regular ride cleaning and social distancing whilst riding which can cause longer queues to form.

Despite this, we are so happy to hear that you managed to go on 12 of our rides. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed these rides and your pitstop at Infinity!

We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Thanks,
Leah

Worst day in my life by far! Conning ain't The word... 4 hour trip, 80 pound tickets to realise its over packed and spent 6 hours queuing for a 30 second disappointment ride. Absolute discusting. Didnt help with 20 coaches of school kids either. If u know ur park is going to be overcrowded, stop selling tickets as it's not fair u pay 80 pound to stand there pissed off k owing u ain't going on anything. Never again will I go to such a pointless, waste of money not to mention time of a place. Came home pissed off, gutted, let down and it literally took all the enjoyment out of you and ruined the day. Absolute con ! Never again!!!!!!!!!!

Visited Thorpe park on 7th June.
If I had read the reviews before going I would have given it a miss.
Entry- got there early as I was expecting a long entry queue, found it busy but moved quickly., temperature checked and bag searched within 10 mins.No complaints.

I’ve read lots of reviews criticising Thorpe park for their lack of covid distancing- there are 2 metre marker dots EVERYWHERE . People need to take responsibility for their own health and take notice of them and not expect workers to instruct them continuously ( IMO it would need more staff resulting in higher park costs and a day being shouted at to move.) use your brain people!!
The rides were closed and cleaned every 2 hours.

The staff, everyone of them was pleasant and helpful doing a job which I expect is quite challenging when dealing with human snowflakes all day.

The reason I have given 3 stars only is that a couple of rides were timed meaning you needed to book a ticket. These were gone by 12 pm. No where did is see info about this either online or in the park.
The queing times really were ridiculous 90+ minutes. My daughters treat day was spent mainly in a queue.

A couple of rides were delayed so we left the ( long) queue to come back later but it was even longer later

It really did ruin what could have been a lovely day

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review here at THORPE PARK Resort.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your day on the island.

Apologies that there was not enough information available around the park on the timed tickets required for Derren Brown's Ghost Train and Black Mirror Labyrinth. These slots can be booked for free from the Island Ticket centre, the attraction entrance and the fast track kiosk. Thank you for raising this with us, we will be sure to pass this on for you.

We are also sorry for the long ride queues you experienced on the day. Due to the additional health and safety measures that we currently have in place, such as regular ride cleaning and social distancing whilst riding, longer queues can form.

Despite this, we are so pleased to hear that you found our staff pleasant, that you were happy with our social distancing markers and that the queue to get in was not too long.

If you would like to discuss you day further, please send us an email (customer.services@thorpe-park.co.uk) stating your case number (7326539).
