I am sat here from our room writing this review as we are leaving to return to the uk in the morning as our week long holiday has ended.
We stayed here as a family of four (new born baby 11 weeks old and a 5 year old) and we honestly can not fault the hotel.
For a 2 star hotel this hotel is great. It is set up like a mini village and has a lovely authentic feel to it.
Upon arrival to the hotel we had a very quick check in, the reception staff very polite and explained everything to us. The security man took us to our room on the back of a golf buggy so that we didn’t have to carry the cases and a pram ourselves- this was a lovely touch and helped no end.

Our room was a superior room (although we only booked and paid for a standard twin room through jet2)..this was lovely..clean, tidy with plenty of room and a lovely private outdoor area with sun beds
.
The children’s splash pool was perfect for our two daughters and we never struggled to get a Sunbed. It Was always clean and tidy.
The main pool was always clean too but could get a bit crowded as it’s not the largest pool in comparison to the hotel site.

Staff always helpful and polite. Lots of daily activities to participate in or the chance to relax if preferred.

The a la Carte restaurant is def worth a visit as we had a lovely evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. The staff were great and the food was lovely. Drinks were served all evening and adults and children had the choice of a three course meal from a good selection on the menu.

The main restaurant could get busy at times but we always managed to find a table and always found something to eat from the buffet. We never had any complaints about the food but like any all inclusive it could get a bit repetitive, however that’s what you expect.

The snack bar always came in handy and the lady who works behind there is fab. She takes the orders and prepares the food all by herself so sometimes there is a little wait but you honestly don’t mind waiting.

The mini disco in an evening was thoroughly enjoyed by our five year old. The entertainment was enjoyable when it was in English.

The only small thing that we would recommend changing would be to have more evening entertainment aimed towards or translated into English for us to enjoy. A lot of the entertainment was in French so even if you wanted to participate we couldn’t. However we still sat and enjoyed a drink watching the sunset.

Es Cana was a lovely area and is worth a walk into the lovely town.

All in all we had a lovely family holiday. Weather was fantastic and we would return to this hotel again. please don’t let the bad reviews put you off as we nearly didn’t book because of them but we honestly have enjoyed every moment of our holiday.

Stayed for 10 day holiday, 2 adults & 3 children ages 3,9 & 13.
Check in - reception staff are rude! They leave you waiting when looking like they are trying to find anything to except serve you!

Room- was very basic but clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels, the hotel is a mini village which does have a private feel to it which is nice.

Restaurant- the entrance to the restaurant is air conditioned but tables only seat 2 or 4 people, you can go into an exterior eating area which is gazebo style with glass windows, this area does seat larger families but good luck eating in there as it’s that hot it’s like eating your dinner in a green house with the heating on! Unbearable!
There is another smaller outside area in front of the extranal cooking area which is built around the pine trees, this area is covered by table umbrellas which are used to try and protect guests and tables from the falling bird poo!
At the very rear of the dinning area is an teepee style eating area which is nice for large families but you need to be quick as the tables go fast, Miss this then your eating in the greenhouse!

Food- plenty of selection with the exception of one day where we was served uncooked chicken portions at lunch and uncooked pork kebabs in the evening, it is your typical all you can eat buffet food, so you will find something you can eat.

Morning coffee machine queue is one to rival Starbucks with the same for a fried egg!

The pool area is very small compared to the size of the complex with the gates being locked until 10am when the pool opens, the queue for the beds started at around 9:15 for a chance to have a bed.

We put up with this for 4 days out of the 10 then hired a car and drove round the island to more relaxing beaches and restaurants, if you walk into Es Cana there is a Thai reaturant beach club called jacaranda beach club which you can pay €6 to use the pool, the drinks are cheap and it’s a lovely place to chill out with room to swim and the kids to play.

Entertainment is mainly French apart from the kids club which is the same songs most evenings even our 3 year got bored of hearing! Surly they can update the nursery rhymes?

Restaurant staff, pool bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

French staff should you need anything look at you like you have 5 heads, so I wouldn’t bother with them.

Also the hotel is over run on Wednesday with it being the host to the hippy market so you can move for stalls, tourists. My advice is have a nosy round but plan the afternoon out of the hotel as it’s crazy busy.

We travel to Ibiza yearly staying all over the island and I can confirm we will not be back to Cala martina even though es Cana hasn’t disappointed with some beautiful sights.

Such a shame as the hotel has the potential to be great.

Ons a positive note, we are happy to read that overall you were pleased with your room and the village concept of our hotel.

We stayed here for seven nights last week and I have to say the majority of reviews are unfair, this little village is excellent for families with young children, entertainment is plentiful with different activities throughout the day and the staff are more than helpful and very friendly, it's close to the beach with their own private area with a bar for drinks and icecreams and plenty of sunbeds for all, our room was basic but adequate(we're on holiday after all so not spending too much time in there) cleaned thoroughly and fresh towels each day.The kids disco in the evening before the main show is a big hit with the children and adults alike. We had a unforgettable holiday experience and we'll definitely be returning ☺☺☺☺☺☺☺

We stayed at the Azuline Cala Martina for 5 days end of July. We were a party of 3 adults and 4 children aged between 7 and 11. We had a fantastic time. The food was good and varied. The kids loved the pool and the night time entertainment. A good well priced holiday and we would certainly come back. All staff were very polite and friendly. Can’t understand the negative reviews.

Great hotel. Staff are fab. Food is lovely. Really close to the beach. The sea is shallow and calm. Great for kids. The bar at the beach which is available is handy and the sun beds plentiful. They have large leather beds with drapes which are fab to get out of the sun.
The rooms are basic but spotless with very good aircon.
Bad reviews are puzzling as we really can't fault the place
