My boyfriend and I have just returned from a three night stay and honestly cannot fault this hotel. We felt the need to leave our own feedback because we were a bit concerned beforehand that the hotel wouldn't live up to expectations after reading other reviews, especially knowing we were paying more to stay somewhere luxurious. We are both baffled by some of the poor comments as it really is 5* treatment - from the complimentary glass of Cava on arrival to the fantastic choice of food and drink options in both restaurants. We stayed in a Premier Room which was extremely modern and had a beautiful large rain shower and comfy bed. It was quiet too. The only drawback was that it overlooked the unused courtyard but that was never an issue as we didn't even sit on our terrace once - the hotel itself is large and spacious with lots of seating areas upstairs and downstairs. The pool area on the roof is brilliant as there are two swimming pools (including the infinity) and is adults-only. You don't have to book in advance and we never had an issue finding sun loungers (even when we spent a morning in the spa and went up to sunbathe mid afternoon) The staff were friendly and efficient with a great choice of cocktails on offer. The only downside from our point of view was the opening hours of the spa and pools (11am) as it would be great to get in earlier but we understand this was for cleaning purposes. There is no problem with the location of the hotel as it's situated on one end of the promenade so there's a lovely walk along the front to other restaurants and even a supermarket. We'd definitely recommend the breakfast as there is a fantastic buffet inc cold meats, hot food, an abundance of fruit, cakes and yoghurt and you can order from a menu too ranging from poached/scrambled eggs with salmon to pancakes and waffles. The spa was a fantastic bonus with a variety of pools and sauna style rooms and was a welcome chill out space. Staff on reception were helpful handling taxi arrangements and there is a convenient WhatsApp service to use too, for example when we requested an iron to be brought to the room. We loved our stay here and would happily recommend to others looking for a luxury escape.

This well-situated hotel has the potential to be really excellent but is let down by absent and poor management at the highest levels. My request to see the hotel manager politely point out problems was never met.
A beautiful building with good size rooms and bathrooms, but some of them need updating.
Our sea-view junior suite was definitely in need of an upgrade.
Hard working staff in reception area set a very good standard but the excellent breakfasts need much more attentive waiting staff.
Staff in the pool area are most helpful and sun loungers and parasols are plentiful.
The area of greatest concern was the extremely poor maintenance, both in and around the pools, and in our bathroom.
I reported a broken pool light, twelve inches across, with a jagged plastic housing, still connected to the mains electricity, either on the pool floor or poolside, every day for 5 days before it was removed and replaced. Our grand-daughter cut her foot!
Tiles around both pools were insecure and a trip hazard, pool steps very slippy with no hand rail.. All guests noticed and commented on the loose tiles but the maintenance staff did not try to rectify.
A towel rail fell off in our bathroom and despite regular reporting for 5 days, was still on the floor when we checked out.
We had a great 2 week holiday via Jet2 but at £16k for a party of 4 expected better from the hotel management.

Room tip: Ask for a refurbished room.

Dear Dave,

We sincerely appreciate the time invested in making such a helpful review for us to highlight our weak points. These observations encourage us to fix any flaws laying in our establishment and therefore provide a better and more competent service.

First of all, we deeply apologize for all the inconveniences that took place during your stay at Aguas de Ibiza Grand Luxe Hotel. This is such an infrequent occurrence that normally derives from a cluster of misunderstandings and miscalculations, and we surely certify you that our average client generally selects our hotel for its distinctive appearance and exquisite service, as well as its competent location.

Secondly, we are deeply sorry to see that our pool area wasn't as expected. We definitely consider this situation as an extraordinary one and this matters pointed out have been corrected right away.

We carefully choose our professionals so that they can give out the best service to our customer, so we're sorry to see that due to a miscommunication between our team some of the issues mentioned weren't corrected during your stay.

As soon as we pulled up to this hotel we realised this was not going to be a 5* star hotel as the entrance was unkept and glass doors were dirty .. we got into reception to check in and immediately all they cared about was getting our money and at £550 per night just didn’t expect this .. probably so we didn’t check out after the first night which we would have done!! .. we sat in the pool bar restaurant afterwards and were served the most disgusting coffee in dirty cups the staff were so miserable and just didn’t want to be there .. we went to our room which was quite nice as it was a corner suite so lots of space .. it wasn’t the cleanest but ok .. we went to the roof top bar sun loungers we constantly had to almost fight to get a towel or even a drink and the barman was the most miserable rude member of staff at any hotel I have stayed … the spa was probably fab when it was built but now is very tired and dirty and didn’t even want to be in there .. the gym had good equipment but no ventilation or aircon so was ridiculously hot in there and the reply was we don’t know when it will be fixed !! .. the breakfast was ok but most time you had to wait around and then when you did order something most times it didn’t arrive although the team at breakfast were quite nice and helpful .. overall we enjoyed our stay ONLY because the location and weather were fab !! .. but for the money there are so many better hotels around so wouldn’t be going back to Aguas again

We’ve just had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The hotel is clean, modern and stylish. The staff are amazing and could not do enough for us - although I would exclude the pool bar staff from this who were definitely less helpful.

Our room was stunning. The breakfast was incredible and the pool is beautiful. It’s a great setting as you can walk along the promenade to the marina where there are loads of restaurants.

Particular thanks to Yaiza who made our stay just magical. We’ll be back as soon as we possibly can.

Room tip: Pool view is worth it.
