We where there one night in june with my family. The place was ok for a one night stand, near the harbour (20 km). The breakfast did not include to the room price and it was rather basic, cost 5 euros per person. I also wrote that in my review (we booked the place from Booking.com) in my own language, which is Finnish. Afterwards, I started to get emails from the owner, who was complaining my review. She had done some translations, which were not right. This is what she wrote to me:
-" i just want to let you know that you didn´t pay for Service the 5 ¬, you payed for that breakfast that you eat here 5¬, and that was what you booked and nowone took you more money,. Reed your confirmation from Booking and you will see. Next time inform yourself better before you write lies as you did whit this place."-
I told her that the breakfast did cost 5 €, like I wrote, and I did not mention anything about any service, or her taking more money. Still she continued to be a smartass and send me my review with her translation... I wrote: Aamupala maksoi erikseen, 5 €, her translation was: The staff was paid separately, ¬ 5 The right translation...: Breakfast paid separately, ¬ 5.
So, can't recommed to anyone.

This is a charming bed and breakfast. The house is large and situated near a bus stop so has easy access to the town centre. The rooms are clean and modern with en suite. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet for 5 euros and is well worth it. Lovely little find....

We spent one night at Haus Magdalene in the end of july. We had a very late check-in, but the host was very friendly and welcoming. The house is old and charming. Our room was in the top floor. It was big enough for us (three people and two dogs), clean and nice. There was everything we needed in the room, and the fan came in handy, since it was quite a warm night. Breakfast was tasty and fresh, and there was enough choice for all of us. The surroundings were nice, and there seemed to be a lot of shops, but didn't use any of them since we arrived so late. We would defenately choose Haus Magdalene again in our future trips.
