I stayed here for three nights as part of a business trip. The Hotel is located on the main High street in the centre of town, which is very handy for local sightseeing and restaurants etc. The staff here are very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Robert on reception and the lady who presented breakfast especially so. My room (202), located on the first floor overlooked the front entrance. If you are looking for traditional, (think 1970’s) this is your kind of place. It was very clean and tidy, both in the bedroom and bathroom, which had a small shower cubicle. The sleeping set up, consisted of two single beds placed side by side, with a very comfy mattress and large single pillow. The room has two adjustable windows, great if like me you like to air the room.
On the negative side:The TV is a little old fashioned, however I only used it the once to see what English channels were available (very few)! The WiFi is a little temperamental and on the slow side. And if you are a light sleeper, be prepared for the hourly chiming of the church bells opposite the hotel. Overall the hotel left me feeling very relaxed and as previously mentioned ideally situated for the amazing scenery and sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again. More
