Right on the road. More for truckers who need to stay a night.
I do not recommend this at all. Needless to say, my husband is never booking another place!!!

Fair play if you're tired and want somewhere to sleep on your journey, this place will do the job. You have to book your room in the middle of the service station shop, so queue up with your coca colas. The prices are cheap as chips but you get a room and breakfast for your money. The room was okay, the beds are very old. Mine had a big dip in it where your hips go. So I tried to take comfort in the fact that many many people had been in it before me. Bathroom very basic but clean enough. Breakfast system was a bit random, you were given a ticket but woe betide you if you chose an almond croissant over a standard one because they are apparently not allowed. Luckily I got away with it!! The lady we booked with was very pleasant. To sum up, very basic if you're desperate but don't book this as a pre planned holiday stopover

We stayed here on a roadtrip up the Romantic Road, we used it as a stopover after a day at LEGOLAND and before moving onto Dinklesbuhl and Rothenburg. The room was clean and did the job, nothing special though but great for what we needed. The basic breakfast was lovely too. Very good overall.

Stayed here two nights and used this location as a base for the nearby area. Nothing special, just your average motel. Carpet and bath starting to show their age, but clean. We had a good laugh over the included breakfast; it was fine, but they give you this card with explicit instructions on what is included (one pat of butter, 3 slices or cheese or meat) they account for every crumb, which we found hilarious. Everyone was walking around with their cards for their breakfast "instructions". Check in is not in the motel building, you have to go to the cashier in the market to check in.
A perfectly fine place if you're not too picky, price is right.

I first stayed at the Leipheim-Sud Autobahn-motel as a child in 1959 and stayed therevfrom time to time over the years - but it used to be one of the more basic places to stay. Now though, after the demolition of the old motel and the construction of the new Axxe Motel, it is one of my favourites. Nice rooms at attractive rates, with breakfast included and a good selection of food and drink for dinner at the self-service restaurant.
Note that it is only accessible from the South-side of the A8, ie driving West to East (towards Munich). If driving East to West, exit the Autobahn after you see the Axxa on the left and drive back a couple of Kms. It does mean that on departure you need to drive to the next exit and turn round again, so that adds a few Kms to the journey. But worthwhile doing.
Room tip: If you don't pre-book on-line, the rates are considerably higher!

back from Italy to the Netherland, this was a nice place to stop. our kids (2 & 4) could play in the play-yard next to it hotel. It is next to the high-way so ideally for a one night stop. Rooms are quiet.
A nice and simple stop-over including breakfast.
