My Fiancé and I booked into the Brenton Haven Beach resort in May. I had last been to Brenton over twenty years ago and the Beachfront Resort has been completely rebuilt. While there are more homes there now, Brenton has not lost its beauty, magic and romance. The Hotel is right on the beach that is the main draw and one can walk all the way along the beach to Buffalo Bay. If you are looking to stay, then book into the Hotel. The self contained suites are spacious, warm and have great bathrooms. Also ask for a room that has a view of the beach. There is a restaurant that is attached to the Hotel and there is a coffee shop. However, there is no restaurant that serves a cooked breakfast.

Room tip: Book a room in the main hotel as they are spacious. The Villas tend to be cramped, with tiny bathrooms and rather cold.

The hotel and staff were fantastic and the seaside was amazing. Even though the weather didn't play along the break was so worthwhile. The time spent at Brenton Haven Beachfront Resort was better than expected. The self catering units are very well equipped and the resorts amenities are of a high standard. We will be back in the not so distant future. It made our 25th wedding anniversary memorable

Room tip: the unit we had amazing sea view

We had never visited Brenton, so Brenton-on-Sea and the view Brenton Haven had to offer was beautiful. We stayed in a three bedroom unit, which was lovely for a famliy of 4, as each child had their own room (with their own shower). The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms were downstairs, while the main bedroom is upstairs. The lounge and kitchen are upstairs going out onto a small patio with braai with the beautiful views overlooking the bay area. The restaurant at the hotel has a beautiful view of the bay and really attracts a lot of locals over the weekends - be sure to make a booking if visiting over a weekend. The restaurant allowed take-aways, so we weren't left stranded when we weren't able to get a table. The pool is heated and even on a chiller day, the kids enjoyed the time at the pool. We enjoyed walks on the beach and followed the walking trail in Brenton - truly beautiful area. The kids got to run out all their energy on the beach. The coffee shop was open from 8am in the morning, perfect for a quick coffee before starting our day by either going out on excursion in the area of just staying at the resort relaxing in the flat. Only complaint would be that the unit we had was close to a resting area for staff, that got a little noisy at times - other than that, we have a lovely stay and hope to return in the summer months.

We needed a breakaway from the 'rat race' and the time spent at Brenton Haven Beachfront Resort was better than expected. The self catering units are very well equipped and the resorts amenities are of a high standard. We will be back in the not so distant future.....
