My partner and I spent one night in May 2013 at the Ferienhof Neusacher Moser. We had booked a standard room, but were given the larger room, because the hotel was mostly empty.

The hotel is in a lovely location in the last village on the shore of the lake – on one side, you have more villages, on the other, there's just nature. It's a little further from Techendorf, which has shops and restaurants, but it can be easily reached within a few minutes by bike or car.

The rooms are spacious, rustic in the typically Austrian style, the bathroom was brand new and stylish. Everything was very clean. The mattresses are really soft, which for some reason is common in Austria, and not exactly the best for one's back. The hotel has its own beach, with beach-beds freely available and boats (we didn't use a boat, but these are also free). There are bikes available, also free of charge.

Breakfast was yummy, with a lot of the owners' own organic produce (milk, ham, cottage cheese...) and the selection was decent (though a bit more fruit would be appreciated).

The negatives:
- Wi-Fi is payable at a ridiculous rate, a login for 3 hours costs 6€. Luckily, you can log in and out and only use the internet when you need it, so it doesn't expire.
- The cleaning fee, which is a little hidden. We booked through booking.com and it showed the note "cleaning fee included" in the main overview up until the end of the reservation. In the confirmation, it still said that the cleaning is included, but in the hotel description it mentions that an extra fee applies if you stay less than 7 nights. It's 15€ for hotel rooms and 35€ for apartments with a kitchen. When I inquired about it prior to our arrival, we were told that we will have to pay the fee, despite the fact that the information really wasn't clearly communicated. I don't even mind the fee per se, more the fact that part of the cost is hidden - you could say that it's the booking engine's fault, however, I would appreciate honest and transparent pricing from the beginning.

Overall, the hotel is really comfortable and peaceful, the Winklers who own the place are friendly and helpful, and the area itself is marvelous.

Room Tip: The smaller, cheaper rooms are on the side of the building and the balconies don't face the lake directly - the larger rooms are on the front and you have a lovely view of the lake.

We were at the hotel for the alternatieve elfstedentocht. We really enyoide our stay at the hotel. Breakfest was taking care of very well with fresh own made products of the own biological barn.

The rooms were really clean and had everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The area is really beautifull and the lake is so nice and clean. We plan to come back in summer so we can swin in the lake and enyoy the nature and fresh air.

What we liked the most was the hospitality of the family winkler. We like to come back soon.

The Winkler family was warm, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. It really felt like we were guests in their home, a charming chalet. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The free bus stops in front of the hotel every 30 minutes so getting around is no problem. Not too many amenities - but we used the sauna and table tennis frequently. The hotel is also an operating farm, which means they have their own fresh milk, butter and cheese. We had a great time at the Ferienhof Neusacher Moser!!!

Room Tip: You will want a room with a lake view.

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week and it was a wonderfull holiday!!
The staff was friendly at all and the room was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with organic homemade products. The hotel is situated close to the lake which was frozen at that time, so we could go iceskating. Right in front of the hotel there was a busstop for a free shuttleservice for skiers. So we never had to take the car.
All in all it was a wonderfull holiday and we enjoyed our first stay in Austria very much!!!
