Fantastic service and food, we were totally spoilt by owners Tom and Sue, chef Jo, Claire and other staff members. The food was terrific, property centrally located, accommodation great. Totally recommended for a stay, meal and wine list. Function room provided a comfortable and private venue for our Reunion Dinner. Many thanks.

I booked a twin room as solo traveller. Room was good size and had table and chairs. Bench space, microwave, kettle etc. Good size bathroom and shower had decent pressure and water was hot. Overall very clean and comfortable. Small table and chair outside to enjoy sunshine with cuppa. Basic outside but money for value. 50 paces to the bar and dining.
Had one evening meal rib eye and was as described (the mushroom sauce was made with real mushrooms not tin ones). Salad was little lacking in imagination. Overall 6/10

Room tip: Main road extremely busy so watch children outside. My room i couldnt hear traffic outside, possibly double glazing. No probs there.

Easy to find. Everthing you need for a base camp. Bit noisy. A fence may improve things. To be totally fair the receptionist did say so we were fully aware. We had a group with 1 large and 1 small apartment. Pub had country atmosphere which was very comfortable. Will stay again 👍

An excellent motor Inn out of the Nelson mayhem. Very clean & comfortable units, good meals & great sports bar with cold beer! 15 mins out of town & well worth it. Keep in mind if heading South or West from town or arriving from these directions late in the day.

Came here for lunch for the first time as we had heard great reviews from previous diners, we were given dinner menus not lunch menus, finished a bottle of water they replaced it when I asked and didn't take the empty one away. I ordered the open steak burger which was meant to come on ciabatta bread and asked for my steak to be cooked medium. I received a well done steak on a thick piece of normal bread and two other members ordered the exact same and we were very disappointed. One member also ordered the fish and chips and half of the fish was raw. Another member ordered that too and theirs was fine and also another member ordered the ham steak which was also fine. The kids meals were great though and they came with a great dessert too. The tablecloth was covered in hair I'm assuming it was washed with something hairy.. overall the the service was semi ok the food wasn't that great but the price was good. I most likely won't dine there again however the dinner menu did look alright but so did the lunch menu and that didn't turn out as expected.

We booked a table for 3 on Sunday the 5th of Feb. Was busy and all tables were full but we didn't wait long for our meals. Hubby had a t-bone steak and it was cooked to perfection. My daughter and I both had a beautiful chicken schnitzel. Will be back and will recommend The Crossroads Restaurant to others.
