My daughter and I stayed here for two nights We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. the owners were so obliging , nothing was too much trouble. the cold Continental breakfast we paid for was just unreal we couldn't eat it all,,milk in little milk bottles and Juice as well ...crazy.
You cater for yourself in the Kitchen which has everything you would want and wander into the spacious dining room to eat it. Our bedroom come studio was glorious and comfortable..Plunger coffee and teas etc.
directly across the road from the Hot Springs..Our room was warm pleasant well appointed not terribly spacious but we loved it and of course it goes without saying that's where were going when we go back.
We paid $165.00 NZ for two nights in Feb.

We drove down from Blenheim via Murcheson and stayed the night at the Drifters Inn; what a great little find.
The owner couldn't be nicer and showed us around the lounge and large communal kitchen, before showing us our room. The rooms are compact but have all that you need for a good nights sleep.
The Drifters Inn is right in the centre of what's going on in Hanmer Springs; over the road from the Thermal Pools and next to some great restaurants and bars. There is loads of parking out front and it's easy to manoeuvre the car without having to reverse into the spaces like some motels. The free and unlimited Wi-Fi is excellent and very quick.

We found ourselves in the Drifters Inn after our 'reserved' motel was double booked. After our initial misgivings about being relocated, we were delighted with the Drifters Inn. The host was welcoming and nothing was a problem, the room was modern, clean and comfortable and there was an excellent shared kitchen area for cooking and a place for eating. Towels were provided for the thermal pools and advice was freely given. An excellent overnight stay.

Nice little hotel, very close to everything, so walking distance to town and springs, basic but clean accommodation, no dining facilities but has a full kitchen you can use if you want to self cater. Comfortable bed, has wifi, pleasant staff. Smallest bathroom we've every seen, a bit noisy at night with people leaving the car park.

Room tip: Rooms over car park can be noisy at night.
