We had researched where to stay in Hanmer Springs and Settlers consistently showed as a good choice. Sometimes what you expect and what you get are very different, but I have to say the excellent reviews are certainly warranted.
The motel is in a great location, the room was spotless and well equipped, and the owners were lovely.
Having towels to use when visiting the hot pools was a really nice touch too.
We would definitely stay here if ever this way again, and would not hesitate in recommending Settlers.

Lovely place to stay.

Comfortable, quiet, warm, very well presented, friendly. We have stayed there several times now and will do so again. Very handy to pool , shops etc. Good parking. Friendly staff. No trouble with booking. Good wifi. Has netflix ( can log into your account if you remember your details ) Nice outlook ( we were in an upstairs unit)

A beautiful place

A beautiful spot and a great place to stay. The room was spacious, warm and clean. Lovely furniture and an amazing view of snowy mountains from our balcony. Super quiet in a great location. Wonderful welcoming hosts - we will be staying here again :-)

An Excellent Motel

We had a lovely stay at the Settlers Boutique Motel.
The owners were friendly and helpful.
The room was very clean, warm and comfortable.
Location was excellent - very quiet but just a short walk to the hot pools and township.
Parking was easy, with plenty of room.
We look forward to another visit before long.

Warm welcome

A warm welcome and a warmed unit made for the perfect start to a few days wintery holiday. I couldn’t fault this lovely motel. Comfortable beds, pristine presentation and the gesture of chocolates on arrival really do mean a lot. Highly recommend booking here

A warm, cosy alpine retreat.

We appreciated the flexibility demonstrated in accommodating 3 adults at short notice. Very warm and welcoming hosts.
Accommodation clean, with good cooking facilities. Cosy and warm rooms while snowing outside.
A very good central location - highly recommended.

Room tip: Good off street parking.
