An owner operated motel of a high standard. Well run and welcoming.
Cats to admire, dvds to borrow, towels for the public baths, well appointed units, a short walk to the baths, shops and restaurants. Our unit had a shower over the spa bath. We prefer a separate and roomy shower.
Take the recommended walk to the Hanmer Forest which is minutes away.
Thanks for Taking the time to provide much welcomed feedback. We appreciate your comments and understand your thoughts about showers over spa baths. With limited space, the architects designed only some of our rooms with spa baths. The balance of rooms have spacious shower cabinets.

Stayed in the one bedroom unit up the back and it was absolutely spotless and excellent in every way. Plenty of room with excellent furnishings. Sally was great and made us so welcome. Really loved this place. Just a couple minutes walk to centre of town was great also. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks Sally, your Motel is awesome.

The room was so perfectly set up - all the small details and thoughtful extras included - the bath salts were a great touch. We were escaping from a tough time and they were happy to let us have a later check out the next day which made such a difference to our stay. Super comfortable bed, great location, highly recommend.

When I needed to arrive a day early and the motel didn't have available a room of the same type as the one I'd booked, Alan kindly made arrangements for me to have the same room for the 3 nights. That was just the beginning of many conveniences at Settlers. The room was lovely and comfortable, with a very well furnished kitchenette. There were laundry facilities and towels to take to the thermal pools. I could call home for free. Alan and Sally really provided every facility and piece of information I could need in Hanmer. If I return to the town, I'll be staying at Settlers.

Our room was spotless and had everything we could ever need. Chocolates on the pillows was another nice touch.It is a beautiful location and we would highly recommend it. The little touches add so much and the staff and owners were super friendly. The washing and drying facilities were super too and meant we traveled home with the minimum dirty laundry. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay .
