This is the second time I have stayed here. The owners are super-friendly and make you feel very welcome. The rooms are spotless and provide for everything you need. My only comment is the decor is probably a bit dated now.

We always return to Sally and Alan at The Settlers who are magic hosts.
Settlers is a well established motel with well appointed units away from noisy roads.
Great bedding and good kitchenware.
Always clean and tidy, parking outside unit.

Thanks for coming back to stay with us a second time. We appreciate you providing the positive feedback.
The decor is in keeping with the original "Settlers" Theme with hand made wooden furniture etc and we are reluctant to modernise it too much as that would take away our point of difference. We have an ongoing maintenance / enhancement programme which does address some of the more dated features. Thanks again for taking the time we do appreciate your comments.

I've stayed at the Settlers Motel a few times and I'm always really impressed. Service with a great attitude, fantastic rooms, facilities and location and always accommodating when I want to park my bike outside the room. Only great things to say about Alan and Sally (and Jill). I highly recommend and I travel a lot!
Room tip: Ground and back off the road but all rooms are quiet and secure

Hanmer Springs is a great place to visit and Settlers Motel is the perfect place to stay. Close to the thermal pools complex, shops and restaurants it is ideally located. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Spotless rooms, great service, portable bbqs on request and our two bedroom apartment even had a private outdoor space with swings.
Close to everything you need and want to visit in town and the staff are super friendly.
We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for making the effort to post a review, we really appreciate it. Unit 15, where you stayed, is great for families and children are safe in the private courtyard and can happily play on the swings. Close to the BBQ are too. We look forward to welcoming you back again some time

We were here in the heatwave where Hanmer Springs registered 38deg, so air con made our stay much more pleasurable. Also heating and ceiling fan if required. Lovely apartment with many little extras, dressing gowns, choc, free use of towels to use at the spa, despite checking out earlier. The lady who booked us in was very welcoming and pleasant, checking whether we needed the laundry, what sort of place we wanted to eat etc. A very pleasant stay, to be recommended.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We love our Air-con too and not many accommodation establishments actually provide it in Hanmer. 38.4 degrees was a very very hot day (a record in fact) so air con was great to be able to keep our guests comfortable. Excellent in the winter too when the temperature drops below zero here. Hopefully we'll see you again sometime
