Great place to stay. Bed was comfortable and unit was clean. Extra little touches were great also esp the umbrella outside the door just in case it’s needed. Host was also friendly and obliging. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet, clean and comfortable stay where the hosts have thought of every detail to make your stay welcoming and comfortable. Walking distance to the Hanmer Springs pools, restaurants and cafes. Set a high standard for the rest if our NZ trip.

Wow, thanks for your kind words. We have tried hard to provide those little extra things that guest occasionally need while traveling. Insect repellent, band aids, fly spray, cooking oil, makeup remover to name just a few.

Thank you, we appreciate you taking the time to post a review. The umbrellas are certainly appreciated by our guests as most people walk to the restaurants, cafes & shops and can occasionally get caught in a shower or two

Now hopefully I have your attention, the only thing I didnt like was leaving. Hanmer is a magical place that hasnt been spoiled and Settlers is the jewel in the crown. The staff are friendly and most helpful. It was my partners birthday so I arranged flowers from Christchurch which staff happily placed in our amazing unit. Even with the hot pools across the road the spa bath was awesome after a long night at work then a long drive from Nelson. The unit was clean,quiet,spacious and most comfortable while being walking distance to everything. Cant recommend enough and hope to make it a regular thing

Very comfortable bed and pillows we were in a top room with balcony great parking no traffic noise and close to springs, restaurants and shops.The owner was also very helpful and pleasant five star accommodation

We stayed here in a two bedroom family unit and it was fabulous! The best beds and pillows! Best sleep so far and we’ve been travelling for over a week.
Super clean, loved all the little touches, the makeup remover towelettes, the chocolates on the beds, the biscuits and bottle of milk for our coffees, just absolutely a lovely home away from home.
We loved the private courtyard and the kids enjoyed playing on their very own swing set!
Our hosts were so lovely, and I wish we stayed here a night longer.
We highly recommend unit 15 which is the two bedroom family unit.
You won’t regret it; just make sure you stay here longer than one day!

Stayed three nights in the two bedroom family room. From check in to check out, the service from the Settlers team, especially Allan was outstanding and highly commendable.
Accomodation was great, clean and comfortable. Serviced daily with everything you could need away from home. Also close to the hot pools, restaurants and shops, etc.
It was all the extras that makes this place so special, free laundry service, dvds, bbq, umbrellas and always service with a smile!
We wouldn’t stay anywhere else now!
