Stayed a night in a unpowered cabin. Inside was very average with torn curtains. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and on inspection the base had broken. Clean (as far as we could tell) though.
Wouldn't stay in a cabin in winter as there is no heating (obviously).
Bit of a walk to the pools.
Just outside town.
Kitchdoor and toilets looked little old.
We had a cabin perfect.
For people who go to the toilet....
Please but it in the toilet and not on the side or where you sit in!! You don't do that at your own toilet either!!!
I thought this holiday park was great! If you are after low cost accommodation with a good old fashioned kiwi family flavour, this will tick the boxes. The setting is lovely with established trees in a quiet environment outside of the main township. Plenty for the kids to do including a playground and swimming pool. Our unit had all we needed and expected for a budget price. It may not be the flashest place around but is a great family environment which reminds me of the good old days!
I was surprised by this camp site. The facilities were good, although dated. An up grade of the shower block could be required. Was disappointed that they charged per person and not on plot. But they do accept dogs which is a bonus. The sandflys were in abundance as site near the bush. I would happily go there again.
Great clean and tidy place. It was nice and not too busy, so had a nice sleep before hitting the road next morning.
They even had a little swimming pool which I haven't used at that time but what a great addition to facilities to refresh after hot summer's day.
I will be back!
