Excellent Family location

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 6 Jan 2017
Great spacious campsite. Plenty of space for our large caravan. Just a 1-2 minute drive from town. Facilities excellent and clean. Great showers & kitchen which seemed to be regularly checked for condition and cleanliness. Games room and TV room good too. Manager was very helpful upon check-in, accurately explaining tracks and activities in the area that we were interested in. Camp has interesting activities on site for kids - Rope trail and similar activities, and plenty of space to run around and ride bikes etc. Good mountain bikes available for hire.

We had been staying for a week and had lovely time there. We enjoyed cooking in a kitchen in the room, walking in forest, and relaxing :)
The owners are friendly and kind. Thank you for everything! We'd love to recommend your awesome accommodation :)

This is the third year we have come to stay for a night on our way down south. It's not always easy to find a place where our dog is welcome inside and we really do appreciate it! So many places say they are dog friendly but dogs can't come inside! - top job guys!

Great quiet location. Plenty of space for your tent/car/campervan.

Facilities were very good, hot showers with great pressure. Plenty of toilets.

Didn't use the pool but it looked nice and clean. Large park for children to play on.

2 minute drive or 10 minute walk from Springs.

Good value compared to other campsites in the area.

Great site with friendly service. Not too costly unlike everything else. Perfect final stop before heading back to Christchurch. Do need to drive into town to get to the springs/spa but about 2km only. $30 for two. Only downside: lots of sandflies in the morning.

We stayed here for two nights in one of the chalets with kitchen and bathroom. Everything was very clean and there was plenty of room. It was old furnishing but very well maintained. Plenty of kitchen utensils meant we could eat dinner both nights. Lovely location away from the noise of central Hanmer Springs.
