Paul & Rae were very friendly. We were shown to our accommodation which was impressive as in large rooms lounge and kitchen.
Nice modern facilities, perfectly located.
We had a ground floor which opened up onto park like grounds. 2 minute walk to the pools and all the shops.

The room was a nice surprise with a lovely balcony and sun streaming in.
When we booked we were advised there was a two night minimum but they did allow us a one night stay.
A stone throw from MK restaurant which is absolutely worth a visit.

We stayed one night booking in last minute as hubby had hurt his back and we wanted somewhere with a spa in the room and a comfy bed. The St James delivered both. Jan on reception was so friendly when I phoned to book direct and even friendlier when we arrived, if that was possible. Fantastic customer service! Beautifully appointed and very clean room. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Hanmer Springs.

We had the most amazing stay in a very comfortable room with a spa bath, the bed was super comfy and the room was spotless.

The best thing about the St James is how close it is to everything, with shops, restaurants and pools within walking distance.

We stayed two nights at the St James, the room was lovely, spacious and comfortable and the welcome was warm. I think the bed is the most comfortable we've slept in during our travels. It is very centrally located with a short walk to cafes, shops and the hot pools.
Received recommendations on places to eat and they provide towels for the pools.
I can highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hamner Springs.

Arrived at this property to a very cordial and friendly welcome. The lady on reception was very efficient and told us all the things we needed to know about the property facilities and things of interest in the area.
The room itself was beautifully presented and the cleanliness superb.
We were very impressed to have the choice of standard or low fat fresh milk provided to us in an age when pre-packed little containers of UHT milk and a nice surprise of a couple of types of biscuit in the room.
The room and the bed were very comfortable and all of this added up to a very nice stay.
This would be our pick of the properties we have stayed at during our road trip of the South Island here in NZ.
