It was clean and close to the beach. These were really the only good things about this hotel. The food was horrible and the wifi only worked in the lobby. The bartender didn't know how to make drinks well either.

Stayed: September 2016, travelled solo

Simple, Spanish hotel close to the beach. The room was spacious (1 queue bed, 2 twins) and had a nice patio. Bathroom was rather unsightly and old, and had no blow dryer. The beds were the hardest we've slept on in both Europe and Asia combined.
Food served at the hotel for breakfast and lunch was disgusting. Staff barely speaks English.
The pool is very clean and nice!
Short walk from the beach, and a bunch of places to eat. (except breakfast is hard to find)

We visited the Caribe on a roadtrip around the SW corner of Andalucia. The instructions were ok, but we'd advise downloading a map to your phone. We managed to park virtually outside. Reception were helpful, spoke good English (to OH, who needs it!!............ The hotel was busy but we just wanted the pool and a good location. We got those. The room (though it had old sockets, like I've read somewhere else) was big enough to hold a small dance in. Great. The pool was great, sheltered... almost didn't notice we were right by a fairly busy road. Easy walking distance to restaurants and beach. A good stopover.

Room Tip: Select a pool view

I'll keep it simple:

Pros:
Location
Clean

Cons:
No real views.
Service is inconsistent (some staff are nice a few couldn't be bothered).
Drawers are too small and can't be used to unpack.
Poolside is cramped, not enough lounges, shaded areas or tables. Super cheap balcony furniture without a small table (for your coffee).
Oh, coffee - no way to make your own, and the bar opens late (stinks when trying to get to work on time).
No microwave - couldn't find a shared one. They want you to pay for the food they offer.
Dorm frig is bigger than the one they have, and it did not work well.
No way to hang towels from the beach, and can't hang them off the balcony.
Outlets are so worn out, plugs will no stay plugged in, and they are not grounded, so new plugs will not work.
Tiny TV, but that is eurotypical.
No table for 2 to eat or drink your coffee.
Tiny desk, with no way to plug in your computer at the desk.
Bed had pee stains on the box spring, not sure how they got there, but it appears they made an effort to salvage it.

And last but not least, the internet connections kept dropping off.

Hotel Caribe is a fantastic place to stay while in Rota. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and very welcoming to me, a Spanglish at best Spanish speaker. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Couple the above compliments with a great value and you have a true winner!
