Great place beautiful grounds, nice spacious rooms, friendly staff. Beautifully set amongst vineyards. Nice golf course and easy to get to all the wonderful wineries in Bandol. Facilities were good, spa, shop and hairdressing.

Fabulous location - the hotel is high up in the hills so most rooms have great sea views and there are vineyards nearby. We loved our apartment which came with a huge terrace and had great views - it was very spacious for the children to play, the kitchen was functional and both bathrooms were of a good size and clean. Some of the rooms have been refurbished; ours wasn't but it was still fine. The swimming pool is a big selling point for families as it comes with three levels (the top level is only 20 to 40 cm deep so ideal for toddlers and is HUGE!). Nearby family friendly Bandol, Sanary Sur Mer and Les Lecques offer great beaches, sea outings, restaurants and shopping. It's a great location to explore other parts of Provence and the coast - a car is essential when staying at the Dolce Fregate but its location makes it feel special! A special thank you to Francoise who dealt with our reservation - her attention to detail made all the difference! We stay there two weeks as Room only and although it is pricey, it is worth it.

I have been coming to this hotel most summers since 2011. The hotel management have not spent nearly enough on maintaining the fabric of the hotel. During my current stay one of the two lifts has been out of action and then this morning the only remaining lift broke. The swimming pool has a sun lounger in it covering some sort of damage and is cordoned off with some plastic tape, rather like a murder might have taken place. The whole fabric of the hotel is crumbling, and for the price paid it really should be better. On the positive side most of the staff are very friendly and are struggling on. It is such a pity as the position, view and weather are so great, however the atmosphere is not much better than roadside Premier Inn. I have heard that the golf course is in a rather poor state versus previous years and the hotel’s owners are bankrupt. I do hope that this lovely location finds some dynamic loving owners who can reinvigorate this and it not become a bland conference hotel - the position is wasted on delegates.

-No adult pool « swimmjng » area despite signs not respected as no supervisor either present or telling loud kids to respect signs.
- bottom pool shows signs of green fungi on its sides.
-refurbished bathrooms have no shelves in shower area to deposit soap, shampoo etc..it’s a 4* hotel !
- bar service around d « apéritif time » is way too slow
-Asian buffet is « indigne » of a à 4* hôtel.
Mas des Vignes and the full truffle meal is however delicious with perfect service

—>I still give it a 4* TripAdvisor rank as the room has beautiful views and nice settings, golf course is awesome. Breakfast is perfect. The pool is very pleasant....the last 30 minutes of the day (7:30-8pm) when kids are gone.

Me and my 5 year old daughter had a lovely relaxing weekend at this place. The setting, in the middle of the wines and with a view of the Mediterranean as a backdrop, is fabulous. Staff is very friendly and service minded and the pool area is excellent.

Since we had great weather we didn’t try the indoor SPA but it’s definitely a plus if you go off peak season.

The breakfast buffet on the terasse overlooking the golf and the sea was another highlight of our trip.

Having read some poor review of this place I was positively surprised by the room and the terasse - it wasn’t brand new but definitely comfy and with the amenities you need - including a fridge to store your beverages.

On the downside there was a wedding reception and party at the hotel on the Saturday night which meant a bit of noise in our room so earplugs may be a good bring for light sleepers.

We didn’t try the hotel restaurant but we did try the brasserie (open for lunch only) which had nice food and speedy service.

All in all a great weekend and good value for money. I would be very happy to go back.
