“Fabulous views, great hospitality”
Reviewed 29 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Perched on a hill, the views from the mas are wonderful. The rooms are charming and well-decorated. We loved having the summer outside kitchen (where breakfast was served) for use during the day.. We were there on a b&b basis with a baby so it was so useful to be able to prepare food. Paul does a very good table d'hote if you give him notice. He is a very nice man who does his best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We were truly sorry to leave, but we will definitely go back.

“South facing site with awesome view of the valley”
Reviewed 1 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

Masmazan had all we would ask from a gite: clean, well-furnished accommodation, generous site area, solar-heated pool, WiFi, a friendly and helpful host, outdoor cooking/entertaining facilities and that awesome view! We are empty-nesters but it would be ideal for young and older children, too. Host Paul is an important part of the experience -- he imparts local knowledge and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the Amandier Suite but the Olivier, studio (new) and chambre d'hote rooms look superb as well. Parking is easy and the site is a few hundred metres from the road so it is blissfully peaceful. Good for local cycle rides and walks but also not far from Luberon, Avignon and other sight-seeing locations. Local villages like St Didier, Malerone du Comtat, Pernes-les-Fontaines and Mazan all worth exploring. It's south-facing aspect and position and 50 metre elevation over the valley are important factors (especially if the Mistral blows!). Loved the week and plan to revisit. Recommend unequivocally!!

“Relaxed atmosphere with magnificent views”
Reviewed 10 September 2011 for a stay in August 2011

Our room was clean, with good linen and typically French in character. The bathroom/shower was new and we immediately felt at home and stayed for a week. The views are magnificent with gorgeous sunsets. The pool is kept clean and you could relax there or in the upper garden by the summer kitchen, (a very useful place to prepare easy meals or make a BBQ) where breakfast is served in the open. The hosts are very child-friendly, with enough toys and activities to occupy them.
We looked at the two Gites which are tucked away to offer privacy, and intend going back and staying in one of them, although the B&B with summer-kitchen was very satisfactory. It is ideal for families but as an elderly couple without children, we always managed to find a quiet area away from the activity. As the hosts have Dutch connections, the guests are predominantly from Holland.
