Whenever we stay in Porto Lopez we always try to stay at Hôtel Berlin. The place is very clean and well maintained and although our spanish is not good we have never has a problem as the owners english is wonderful and he has always been super helpful.

The hotel is ok. But thats it. There are no hammocks and the garden looks like a dessert with a lot of garbage in it.
Also is the hostel directly on a very very buzy street with a lot of traffic. It sounds like the cars and trucks are driving true your room. The room was ok, the staff can be better. But the place of the hostel is bad. Better go to hotel nearby the beach. much more quiet. I do not recommend you this hostel.

Visited Hotel Berlin International with a friend. They were great to allow us in a bit early and watch our bags when we checked out. They even helped us out to fix a booking error and finding us two rooms upon our arrival.

The rooms were comfortable and had AC, which was nice. I did feel they were a bit expensive for what the hotel offered. In the pictures there were hammocks, but that wasn't the case when we were there. They did serve breakfast and the hotel staff were very friendly.

The main reason for the lower rating is the increased price they charged for a whale watching and Isla de la Plata tour. I directly asked the staff there if they charged the same as all the operators and was told yes, but upon walking down to the pier a little later that morning we saw prices posted for less than we paid. It was quite frustrating and pretty unethical, to say the least.

So, in summary, the hotel is a decent place to stay, but a bit pricey for what it offers and do not book any tours through them... Always go through operators in the main street.
