“Utterly Perfect”
Reviewed 18 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

House had everything you could possibly need. Well decorated and furnished. Bedding was superb. Would most certainly recommend and return there. Be aware- the house is on a steep hill, not the easiest on old knees but beautiful views!

“Fantastic property - a home away from home!”
Reviewed 28 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

1 Hope Terrace is a home away from home! So spacious, comfortable and well presented, it has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. The stair gates were a particularly useful bit of kit for us, as was the huge box of Peppa Pig toys which kept our toddler happy for hours! I defy anyone to think of something they would need on holiday that Hope Terrace doesn't have!

“Ideal Cottage”
Reviewed 12 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We stayed at this beautiful cottage for the third time this year. There were six adult family members and one child so all four bedrooms were in use. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower cabinet and the other with an over the bath shower All the furniture, décor and appliances are of a very high standard with everything you could wish for including a super welcome basket. Even toys for children are available along with a vast variety of books and DVDs for adults. The fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave, toaster and top quality crockery. Definitely, a lovely home from home.

“An excellent find!”
Reviewed 14 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Each year we try to meet friends at a central location. This year (somewhat by chance) we plumped for Matlock Bath. The town itself has a slightly bizarre "inland-seaside-resort" feel to it with amusements, gift shops and fish&chips a-plenty. There's a play area across the bridge for smaller visitors. Matlock is a 5 minute drive for evidently less seasidey things like, well, groceries.

1 Hope Terrace itself is wonderfully set up a steep hillside (elderly/toddlers might find this a challenge), affording magnificent views over the valley. The house is set on 3 floors (we live in a bungalow, so the (steep) staircases were Alton Towers as far as our 3 yo was concerned). Stair-gates were provided. Accommodation is comfortable and smart, without losing the homely feel. Kitchen is well equipped for the most part and eating space absolutely fine for 4 adults and 4 kiddies. The lounge would be a touch snug for everyone, but the kids used it as a den, so adults weren't allowed in for the most part. Parking for one car (we got an Espace in there without too much hassle) outside the house; parking for any others down nearby streets.

The welcome hamper was most, erm, welcome, as was the milk in the fridge!

Mrs Keay was helpful and communicative throughout the booking and the stay - we had an excellent, comfortable and great-value stay and would have no hesitation recommending or rebooking.

“Brilliant everything you could wish for”
Reviewed 10 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

A fantastic property equipped with everything we needed and more. Our group included 4 adults and 3 children who loved all the children's games and activities.
We didn't use the car all weekend - within walking distance of Heights of Abraham, gullivers and some lovely pubs as well as lots of other attractions.
