The Girls in the spa were great and my husband and I had a really lovely 55 mins massage followed by the steam room and hot tub. The hotel however....
* Nothing to say what time you checked in or out,
* The TV did not work (in fact the buttons on the remote for channels were volume!).
* When people walked past in the corridor it made the cups chink and there was a lot of dust.
* The outdoor pool was being refurbished... for the last 7 years!
* The meal was overpriced with my sirloin being chewy & my husband had to get up and get his wine to serve himself.

There is a new Manager who promises that she has seen these issues and is addressing that

I met a girlfriend at the New Bath Hotel spa for the day, to relax and catch up. We were both very impressed with the facilities (clean, uncrowded, relaxing), the service (nothing was too much trouble for the staff) and the facials we had (bliss - Victoria you worked wonders!).
We both went for an £89 package, including use of the spa, one treatment and a 2 course lunch. The food was superb - we shared a goats cheese starter, had steak/ sea bream for our mains and shared a rose, pear and panacotta dessert.
We never felt rushed during our visit and every member of staff we came into contact with was polite and super helpful, such as when our lunch dessert was instantly re-arranged to be served late afternoon to avoid clashing with our facials! We both had a lovely day and would like to return. I'd definitely recommend a visit!

My friend and myself visited New Bath hotel Spa back in April 2017 ,
We were very happy with the Spa , it was clean , very peaceful , staff all very helpful and attentive , the treatments were good too ...
We had lunch before we left and all in all had a lovely relaxing time ... Hence we booked again for the following month , we enjoyed the experience so much we decided to book every month ...
However , it came to our August visit and we were so very shocked to find the changing rooms were not stocked with flip flops towels or wash products ...
We went towards the hot tub which was dirty ! And the steam room wasn't working correctly ...
We mentioned these problems to the beauty therapists but they seemed under a lot of pressure ...
My friends treatments were as normal and enjoyable , but unfortunately mine was a new therapist who clearly wasn't professional and chatted the whole time ...
We were not happy , but continued to stop for lunch ...
The therapist was very hesitant with regards payment procedure , and we didn't feel we could book again for the following month as we had been doing ...

However , I did contact the hotel and put across my concerns ...
It was investigated and a reply was received , but the only explanation I was given was that the hot tub was regularly cleaned , and the therapists were very busy that day !!!

I was still not happy , we had become regular customers and spent between £70 to £80 each, every month .. But we were not even offered a complimentary coffee if we did return ...

It really is a terrible shame , as the spa was really quite nice to begin with ...
It's really not good for the hotels spa reputation .
I have since spoken to another couple who were also regular monthly visitors to the spa and sadly they said there last experience at the spa was disgraceful ...

It's a shame the place is getting a bad reputation when it could continue to be really very nice ...
I hope someone looks into the problems and it can pick up its reputation somehow ...
Keeping regular customers happy would be a start ...

Phoned this afternoon to ask about a spa day for me and my friend - for her birthday. Seems the young lady who answered my call doesn't like to speak on the phone. Was just directed to the website - several times . even though I just asked a couple of very basic questions. I was very pleased to see this beautiful building back in business a a spa hotel - as it should be, and as a local resident may have looked forward to using the facilities on a regular basis, sadly , I don't feel that my custom will be welcomed. I have worked in the hospitality industry myself and know how much first impressions count.
