I like the approach--a set menu based on simple, excellent homestyle cooking. And it was very good. But I thought it was too expensive for a menu where one had no choice whatsoever. I also thought the starter was too similar to the plat du jour. And the dessert was really not up to much.
The chef was very friendly and we had a delicious wine from Mount Etna.
The restaurant is directly on the lake which is a plus. However, fhe floor was gravel and the paint on the wall was old. No cheerful flowers. With a little investment and attention, it could be really charming place to have dinner but it just wasn't quite up to the mark. A bit down at the heels. Shame.
