Had dinner here one evening, having reserved during the day, as a "splurge" night out. Dress of most diners including us was smart casual.

The young waiter was helpful answering both my halting Italian & English.
We both enjoyed our mains of fish: he had Sea bass & mash, while mine was reported to be fresh-caught in the lake 'Filetto di salmerino' (char) - and then shared a Cioccolato (triple chocolate) dessert. Plus a bottle of 'local' Lombardy wine (left on table for us to pour).

Everything was very good, though, of course, there was no view after dark to help justify the expense.

I stayed in room 102, which was a road and side lake view. Despite the room being on the main it was quite.
The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom and whole hotel was very clean.
The only reason it didn’t get a 4/5 is because the furniture was a little outdated. Nothing major.

The food served at the restaurant for dinner and the complimentary breakfast were both amazing. I loved the food here!

The hotel is a 1min walk to the bus stop which can take you to either Como or further north.
It’s also a 15-20min walk to the ferry which can take you across to Bellagio.

Also another BIG PLUS to staying at this family run B&B, is the owner’s son is absolutely gorgeous!!

We've eaten here a few times now and love it. Food's always good, staff are brilliant and the place is lovely, literally right on the lake shore.

Try the slow cooked belly pork which i can personally recommend !

My husband and I have stayed here 4 times and for good reason. We have travelled through Italy every year for the last decade and like to find different places to stay as we travel south but once we found La Darsena, if we are staying hear Como, this is where we stay. It is family owned and run, the rooms are simple but lovely and most have glorious views over Lake Como. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are all you need after eating your fill of the delicious fare in the restaurant below.
