Let's start with the pros: 1. The spot is magnificent since the hotel is just in front of a very nice huge beach, only in walking distance from the old town. 2. The service is professional (the receptionists were very helpful and even provided a complimentary upgrade when asked for a room with a see view / made splendid recommendations for restaurants and bars etc). 3.The wifi service is excellent. 4.The prices are modest, although I must note that we visited off season.
Now the cons: 1. The rooms are obviously old and although tidy and clean they are in need of renovation. 2. The quality of the mattresses is below average (perhaps too old...) 3.For a 5 star hotel they are missing some important details like the luck of slippers and bathrobes, free coffee in the room (they charge 1.80 euro for each nespresso capsule you consume), fresh juices as well as espresso/cappuccino coffee machines at breakfast (espresso is probably served but you have to order it/you have no access to a machine and help yourself as you like),
All in all, a very good hotel that should be better considering its class (5 stars) and its privileged position.More
