Basic motel style room in 'Spa Shed' across road from main hotel reception. Staff were not friendly except for front desk receptionist. Breakfast was basic and if you wanted any hot cooked breakfast, eg an omellete, don't go before 08.30 as that is the time the chef starts work ! In summary, this hotel is trying to be a boutique spa hotel with corporate colours and logos everywhere, when in fact its just basic accommodation with a small part of it having a view over the Seine.

Room Tip: Keep the patios doors closed or your neighbours will kill you with cigarette smoke !!

We booked this hotel for one night via VeryChic. When we arrived, the reception desk told us we had been "upgraded" to a "privilege" room at another building. When he showed us where it was, the room was actually 3km down the highway (!!), at a cheap road-side hotel called La Ruche, which was NOT even 2 stars. It felt like a bad joke. The room at La Ruche had stickers pealing off the wall, and mosquitoes inside! We went back to demand a room at Domaine de la Corniche (which we had reserved), and they miraculously found one available in the spa building. When we went inside, it was another bad joke. The room reeked of cigarettes. We decided we were not going to spend our last night of holiday at this establishment. We proceeded to have dinner at La Paronamique, where we felt the food was incredibly overrated and the service was below average for a 1 Michelin star restaurant. The view was the only saving grace. We will not be returning to Domaine de la Corniche. The facilities looked old, and badly maintained. If the room and the reception looked like that, I cannot even imagine what the spa and hammam must look like. Ultimately, we really felt they were trying to take advantage of us by making us stay at a lower quality hotel down the road, when what we really wanted was a 4-star hotel experience. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Stunning view from the panoramic restaurant (1 Michelin star). The outdoor swimming pool is a great spot, especially during warm Summer. The spa is nice but I think that it could get better. The infrastructures are very good, however they should make a better effort to keep it properly neat.
We had dinner in the garden at the Bistrot restaurant which is located in another part of the Domaine, in front of the main building and it was very good. simple dishes cooked perfectly, friendly staff with nice recommendations.
Everything could have been perfect but there was a little inconvenience in the room. The hotel manager and his staff were very apologetic and made everything they could to make up for it.We really appreciated his help and professionalism which make us believe that we should give the hotel another try some day.

We chose this hotel for a number of reasons: its closeness to Giverny, its restaurant and bistro, its Tesla charging points(3) and its views.
We stayed during the warm weather we have been having this July and the outdoor pool was very nice to swim in after a long day driving or sightseeing.
We ate at both the restaurant and bistro. The food was great at the 1 star Michelin restaurant and the views on a warm evening were lovely. The bistro food was good value for money and we ate in the garden as the weather was warm and dry.
Our standard Seine view room in the main building was small but the side view along the Seine was probably more better and rural than the view across it.
We were able to charge our Tesla each night at one of the 3 points with only one occasion when a charge point was blocked by a BMW X5 ICE (the owner has an S an an X).
We bought tickets to Giverny from the hotel which was well worth it as the queue to buy tickets at the garden was very long and we skipped it. We also bough tickets to the Impressionist museum from the hotel but it was shut (between exhibitions) and the hotel refunded us. We asll visited Versailles while we were there and it was a 45 minute or so drive.

There is no doubt that this a beautiful hotel with the most stunning views, especially from the terrace. Unfortunately it lets itself down on the very basics of customer service. A rushed checkin led to lack of information and an onerous checkout when payment for an already prepaid room was insisted upon and then ultimately refunded due to the error. Pre ordered extras for the room were not there, however the superior room we had was quite nice with a lovely view.

We had booked a table at the Michelin star restaurant but were told we had 15 minutes to order and no time to freshen up and change before going in. Having then sat for ten minutes waiting for a waiter feeling very uncomfortable as we had been unable to change we left. The checkin staff were more interested in whether to not the chef was upset than if we were. Thankfully the staff in the bistro were lovely and we had a delicious meal in there.

It’s such a shame that the customer service overall just isn’t good enough as this hotel very nearly has it all.
