Casa Marbella was one of the best holidays I've experienced around the world. The owners, Andre & Jessie, were so kind. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the location perfect, and the view and pool incredible.
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
We had a room with a small kitchenette area that allowed us to prepare breakfast and keep our cervezas cold. The bed was very comfortable and the modern decor was really appealing.
We spent lots of time in the pool right outside our door and met many of the other guests. Everyone was so friendly and the set up of the rooms around the pool was very conducive to getting to know your neighbors which was great because we love meeting fellow travelers. The yoga deck was a really nice feature and we enjoyed practicing yoga with those amazing ocean views.
The hotel is perched up on a hill but easily walkable to the beaches and lots of great restaurants. The smoothies at Zula restaurant are incredible.
The roads in Santa Teresa are dusty and filled with lots of motor bikes and ATVs but the beaches are some of the nicest on the Nicoya peninsula. Took a nice long beach walk up to Playa Hermosa & Manzanillo.
Highly recommend Casa Marbella and hope to return one day.
Bill and I recently spent 8 marvelous days here, and can't thank Jessie and Andre enough for making our stay so pleasurable!! Beautiful surroundings, and views - our suite was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Yoga deck was a "slice of heaven" whether we were drinking morning coffee, stretching on a yoga mat, or reading a book and feeling gentle ocean breeze! Infinity pool was perfect, right outside our front door. Great recommendations from Jessie & Andre - on things to do, see and places to eat!! Highly recommend, will definitely go back!
Thank you Alison for the great review and so glad you still ended up making the trip! It was a pleasure having you and Bill here and thanks for being such friendly and fun guests to have :) Thank you for recommending us and it's so great to hear you had a marvelous time! We hope you will come see us again soon and hope you are getting some sun now back home. Take care!
We really enjoyed our time here. Very clean and comfortable. Great views from just about everywhere on the property. So close to everything you need in town. We loved being able to cook in our room and have breakfasts on the balcony. I would strongly recommend Casa Marbella to anyone!! Thank you so much
Thank you Corey for sharing your experience. It was a pleasure having you and your family hear and glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. It's also great to hear that you found the place clean and comfortable. Thanks for recommending us! Hope you will return someday.
Spent a few days in CasaMarbella and really loved it!
Great, beautiful rooms; beautiful ocean view, very nice pool area.
The location is very convenient, more quiet than in the beachfront and still very close to everything, specially the beach.
The staff was amazing and I would like to thank Jessie and André for their hospitality.
I will surely come back!
Thank you Joao for writing a review. It was great having you here and glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope you return soon and take care! :)
My husband and I just spent a beautiful week relaxing in one of the large condos at Casa Marbella. Jesse and Andre' and their staff are as helpful and professional as others have said, but they also give you your space, which we appreciated.
The luxury condos are much larger than two people need, though I'd highly recommend choosing them for two people anyway! Stepping onto the large outdoor patio with two comfortable adirondack chairs and a dining table with benches, it was immediately clear that the condo and it's gorgeous views were just what we'd hoped for! Casa Marbella seems to float above the pristine coastline.
Our room (#8) boasted the best views at Casa Marbella, and likely the best in Santa Teresa from what I was able to ascertain - a high up view of the coast. When seated in the adirondack chairs, the low wall of the patio also edits out a few smaller buildings below, creating a perfectly framed view of water and green, with Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve in the distance.
Even if you're on a more modest budget, I am guessing that you could choose any of the rooms and you'd be very happy. Photos on the website are very accurate. The two-bedroom suites, also with balconies, seemed to be even more private than I thought they would be from the photos due to smart bamboo screening. Even guests in the more modest rooms had the pool area as their 'living room', which included a couple nice seating areas, and sun loungers. Even though I believe the hotel may have been full (or nearly so) during our stay, there were rarely more than 2 or 3 people in the pool area.
A few additional things:
*The rooms are SPOTLESSLY clean.
*Our room was very quiet, even though we visited during the busy week leading up to Easter (one of the busiest times of the year).
*Almost every room in our condo had ceiling fans, which kept the air moving (air-con in the bedrooms).
*As a gay couple in our 50's we were entirely comfortable staying here.
*Even though the location of the hotel is incredibly convenient (grocery store, bakery, ATM, car rental offices, beach and restaurants are all down the hill and within two - three blocks), I personally was glad we rented a 4X4 SUV/Car as opposed to walking or renting an ATV, mainly for comfort.
Thank you Casa Marbella for a great week!
Thank you so much Matt for the wonderful review! It was a pleasure having you and Kenny here over Easter week and we are delighted that you had a great stay. And we're glad staying in the Condo was a good fit. Thank you for choosing Casa MarBella and we hope you return soon; you are always welcome and were great guests to have :)
