We were only two days in this comfortable cottage, enjoyed Elisabeth´s and Greg´s hospitality, the excellent dinner and fell in love with their beautiful garden. Our hosts made us immediately feel at home. We have nothing to criticize and wished to stay longer! This is a perfect place to relax and a good starting point for visits to the Waitomo Caves and other nice places around. Thanks Elisabeth and Greg for two perfect days.

Kamahi Cottage is a relaxing retreat with all the amenaties of home and the luxury of a five star resort. Liz and Evan are a warm, friendly couple who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Lounging in the hammocks on the deck is the optimal way to experience the sounds of New Zealand's birds and walking in the gardens is a fabulous way to see some of the local foliage.
I was pleasantly surprised to hear bagpipes on the first night of my stay and when I investigated the source of the noise I saw Evan practicing for the Christmas parade. I was treated to a delightful mini concert!
Liz is a fantastic chef and spoiled me with her fantastic recipes and friendly conversation.
I can't reccommend the cottage enough and I hope that I will be able to visit again soon.

Thanks so much, Judy. Evan is very happy that his "mini-concert" met with your approval! Have a wonderful 2016.

Kamahi Cottage is the perfect place to head to for a few days to catch your breath, unwind from stress and soak up some of New Zealand's glorious country side. The wonderful owner can provide you with the most delicious home made meals and baking.
I lounged in the comfy hammocks on the front deck, listening to the birds singing and marveling at the view.
I recommend this place, not just to overseas tourists but to New Zealanders as well.

This was our last night in New Zealand and we could feel ourselves unwind after all the driving as we lay in the hammocks on the verandah looking out over many square kilometres of farmland below. We had been welcomed with Swiss pastries and the introduction to the cottage was helpful - so many extra little things like books and videos which added to our stay. Spending a night in the cottage was a great experience and breakfast next morning magnificent. Discussions with Liz and Evan changed our plans for the next day definitely for the better. An unforgettable stay.

This was to be our first ever "bed and Breakfast ' experience in New Zealand.Boy , was it a fantastic choice !!..
From the time we drove up the driveway , till we left , the experience and ambience was superb..What the reviews, we were guiided by & say is absolutly true and we are so glad we opted for this stay . Pity it was only one night ..
The hosts are brilliant .. The morning breakfast was out of this world and even better was the time the hosts took to spend with us over breakfast .. learnt so much . Including the fact that the much vaunted KIWI fruit was just a "Chinese goosberry" .. The wonders of marketing ..
We will unhesttatingly recommnd a stay here to any one who wishes for a independent ,cosy stay with facilities and amenities that are the best and hosts whose interaction with you is priceless.

Room Tip: If you wish to have dinner too , let the hosts know in advance ..
