This lodge is amazing. It's about 10 minutes away from the caves, but an experience all by itself. It's so beautiful and clean. The owner Julie is friendly, knowledgeable and as sweet as you can fine here in New Zealand. Don't miss this lodging if your in the area.
The pictures on the site are true to reality. Have fun and enjoy!!! Peace

A nice out of the way location (if that is what you want). Quite, cozy and clean rooms. Close to caves and other attractions. Great breakfast. Had a hot tub, but we arrived too late to use, long drive in from Auckland. Would recommend.

Enjoyed our stay here , hostess was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and there was wide variety of options. Perfect location for waitomo caves only 10 mins drive. Homemade cookies in our room was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again.

So if you are looking for a good base to visit the worms and for example hobbiton, this place is great.

However, the bed was way to soft for our liking and backs, on the other hand the bed linnens were great and made you feels comfy. The bathroom had all the essentials but the look and feel was too much plastic fantastic. Easy to clean, but not to kind on the eyes. The room was spacious but lacked charm.

The breaksfast was good with a lot of choices.

We arrived mid afternoon to the cleaner. She was very inviting and warming. The property is well maintained and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It feels more like home than any other place I've stayed in. Breakfast was lovely and the price for 2 of us to stay 1 night was spare change pretty much.
