Good for overnight. We had 5 adults sharing one unit. Get what you pay for. Clean, comfortable bed, friendly reception but very basic. Dated but adequate. Good value. 20 minutes to waitomo caves. Stayed in #5 furthest from road and still heard trucks going all night. Hate to think what units closer to the road are like.

For the price you get what you pay for. Yes it is dated but it is functional, clean and friendly host. Only critism was the spa was luke warm. Not that I would have used it but I was hoping it would keep the kids entertained for an hour but they only lasted 3 minutes in it.

Great prices for rooms with plenty of space. Very friendly proprietors. Suited what we needed for a quick stay, nothing fancy but clean and comfortable. Nice to have a tramp for the kids to use. We had a pleasant stay.

Very relaxing environment and most accommodating management. Clean and spacious home away from home. Walked outside to enjoy beautiful countryside. About a 3 min drive outside of township of Otorohanga

Room Tip: It was not just a room but a wee cottage, very spacious and relaxing

First interaction with staff was influenced by a badly worded email regarding transport from station. Not enough information given. The two bedroom unit had sleeping for five and seating for two. Initially only one hand towel and one face washer for four adults! Some of the kitchen utensils were so old we wouldn't have used them. The cooker was old and well used. All the numbers around the dials had been rubbed off. Quite a long way out of town so transport is a must. One positive, the sheets on the beds were clean. However, the pillow slip on the one spare pillow was not. We were charged $179 for an extra night!

I cannot understand why you state that our email was badly worded. If you still have that email like I do please read it again. It clearly states that the Motel is approx. 1km from the Train Station and that you were to call before or on arrival and we would pick you up. There is no mention of you taking a Taxi and getting us to pay for same as you expected.
The bedrooms sure have seating for six as two can sit on couch and four on chairs if you think practically. As a standard room requirement, only one set of towels are put in each room but when more people use the same room more is given like in your case. we provided you with four sets fresh every day.Kitchen Utensils are used every day and are of course used ones that are not disposable stuff. Mind you pots and pans are not disposable!
As for the distance from town, we offered you free transport consideration your age but you refused our offer. You were booked for 2 nights and decided to stay another night and one would have thought that you enjoyed your stay with us. Did you think you would get a complimentary night? I am sorry to disappoint you but that is beyond my authority. Now I understand the reason for your Complaints, expected Free for the 3rd day?
