Excellent night out to relax in beautiful surroundings with fantastic food

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 2 Jun 2024
Had a meal with my lovely wife Andrena, the food and views from the restaurant are amazing, we had smoked Salmon and prawns to start which were delicious followed by a beautifully cooked roast beef dinner, the staff are so helpful and the prices are very fair. Cameron the manager was very helpful.

This is possibly my favourite hotel. Located in the beautiful Seamill, it is very close to the beach. What makes this hotel so special are the 3 Executive Rooms. These rooms have balconies looking across to the beautiful Isle of Arran. They are extremely spacious with super king size beds, huge bathrooms with amazing walk in showers, and other touches including a fridge. I like nothing more than spending an evening here, and when the weather allows, sitting on the balcony taking in the amazing view.

Breakfast is made fresh to order, using top quality ingredients, and dinner is always excellent as well. Although the Executive Rooms are more expensive, I think for what you get they are extremely good value for money.

I have visited several times with friends and family, and also on my own. My was more recent visit was with family to celebrate a milestone birthday. I had a wonderful time and look forward to returning again soon.

Room tip: Book an Executive Room if you can, especially if the weather is good.

First stay in the Seamill House Hotel. The staff were all lovely. A special mention to Hannah who was extremely friendly and helpful when we made our booking.

Our room was modern, clean and the bed was very comfortable. A nice touch was the coffee machine and pods. Great shower and bathroom with all the quality toiletries were included.

We had lunch in the View restaurant. Service and the food were exceptional. Drinks were reasonably priced and the view was fabulous. Breakfast was very good indeed. All the choice of cereals, juices and local ingredients that you would expect. Great start to the day!

This Boutique Hotel is a little gem. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return.

On the spur of the moment after having a wonderful day in Ayr in glorious weather we decided to find a hotel. We found a room at Seamill House Hotel. We arrived in the quiet town of Seamill/West Kilbride. Hotel is right on the main road. Booking in was done with a friendly gentleman and we went up to our en-suite room. Room was clean and fresh. Double blinds (including blackout) and thankfully double glazing as the road was right outside and is quite noisy. En-suite was nicely fitted out and was also disabled friendly. Room had an up to date Tv, mini fridge with a small (old school sized) fresh milk and bottle of water. There was also a coffee machine and kettle. Supplies for these too (although could do with offering a decaff coffee pod or hot chocolate, this is a tiny niggle though).

Bed was a bit hard but adequate and we both slept well after our lovely day. Oh and the hotel is very short walk from a beautiful beach.

Breakfast included a continental selection and cooked breakfast too. My partner had porridge and I chose the filled roll. Veggie options were available too. I am unable to eat breakfast early so asked if I could take it with me. They very kindly provided a takeaway (recyclable) box and we had that for our lunch.

All in all a very good stay and all the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Would recommend it. Only thing would suggest that if booking with more notice than we did then try to get a room at the back rather than at the front as the main road can be quite noisy with traffic in the morning.

Room tip: Small parking area which is shaded. Near the beach (short walk). Book room away from front if traffic noise bothers you.

Absolutely delightful staff highly focused on customer service.

High level of modern decor throughout and high standard finish to rooms. Extra for sea view room is well worth it! Dining room has outstanding views to Isle of Arran - if it is not raining.

Call and reserve rooms with hotel. They will match online prices.

Room tip: Book direct with hotel. They will match online prices.

Two night stay in this lovely hotel. Friendly, pleasant and keen staff made this a nice stay. Large modern comfortable king sized bed and large ensuite shower room with walk in shower was perfect.
Large dining room with sea views over to the Isle of Arran was pleasant. Excellent well served food with a good choice on the menu and friendly and efficient service from the young waiters.
Recommended.
