My husband and I stayed at the Palazzo for three nights. The surroundings are elegant, our room was beautiful with a wonderful painted ceiling and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The choices at breakfast were amazing and would suit any appetite.

Whilst staying you must try Locanda del Colonnello which is run by Georgio Failla. The food was amazing, the staff were attentive but not overpowering and the attention to detail was exact but relaxing. We ate there two nights running and did not bother to look for another restaurant.

Our satnav located the hotel easily, thankfully, bacause the street layout in Modica is very tangled. The hotel is old-fashioned but pleasant and comfortable: perhaps it could do with a new coat of paint, as it were. The staff were friendly and helpful but there were not many of them around. It was possible to sit at the bar and no one would come to serve for, say, 5 minutes. It felt like part of the old-world charm of the place rather than being something to complain about however. The actual hotel restaurant was closed the evening of our arrival but that was unimportant because they seem to run a fabulous restaurant just over the road - the Locanda del Colonello (well worth a visit). Unsurprisingly, there was a shortage of power sockets in the room.

On a touring holiday of Sicily staying at 5 different hotels. This one was our favourite. An old stylish hotel where service and courtesy matters. Situated in the centre of the high bit of the town. Don't worry about parking, they will park for you. Our room was perfect, not the height of luxury but comfortable and quite grand with a lovely bathroom. (it also had a balcony and air con.)
We had an evening meal in their own restaurant nearby which was perfect. Breakfast in the hotel dining room was fantastic.
We would love to go back! !

Wonderful service and support during our stay at the hotel with specific thanks to Julia who assisted us with our travel plans, taxi and restaurant bookings, nothing was too much trouble.
In a lovely area of the town although elderly or disabled should be aware of the potential difficulties getting in and out of the town due to its position. (Long walk up and down numerous steps and long wait to pick up a taxi if not pre booked).
The hotel is clean, has only 10 rooms and provides a good continental breakfast. Our room (104) was impressive with its high ceilings, comfortable beds and antique furniture. The shower does run a bit hot and cold and it can be a little noisy.
I really enjoyed my holiday here with my 8 friends. It's a super base, with a friendly and relaxing atmosphere and a superb restaurant.

The Failla family is running this 10-room hotel which is a lovely palazzo in Modica. High ceilings, old style furnishings, very atmospheric. Also very comfortable. They recommended a restaurant - Accurzio - which was the highlight of our Sicily restaurant exploration. Overall, great experience.
