We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights, back in September, The Hotel is located in a nice quiet area, we had secure parking for our car.
Staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, our room was very clean and spacious, and included all amenities needed, air conditioning was perfect, we also had our own large balcony. the swimming pool was hygienic and constantly being cleaned.
during our stay we discovered that the Hotel also had an nice gym and superb spa!

Breakfast at the hotel had a good variety to choose from,
I would definitely recommend eating at the hotel restaurant during the evening, food was excellent and well presented, although we ate there once during our whole stay as we wanted to experience eating in town, the meal we had at the hotel was the best of the whole break!

The Hotel runs a shuttle service to both the Beach resort during the day and centre of town during the night, we used this service everyday and found it very useful,

we would love to return one day!

The hotel is some way outside the town. There was an evening shuttle to the town, although we were told this was stopping the day we were leaving - not sure of this was a seasonal thing or that it was being discontinued. We took the bus into town to have dinner but it does drop you off with about a 10 minute walk to the old town. We walked back which was fine, partly along by the sea, and it took about 40 minutes. The room was simply and plainly furnished but the sliding wardrobe door irritatingly slid across the desk and the wall TV making them unusable whilst the wardrobe was in use... very odd design. There was a small balcony overlooking the indoor courtyard. There is an outside swimming pool which was very nice, and the lifeguard on duty very helpfully moved sunbeds for us. There was a function on whilst we were at the pool and children playing rather spoilt what would have been a peaceful space. The hotels charges to hire towels for the pool which we thought was greedy. We used towels from the bedroom, instead. Breakfast buffet was below average. It took nearly 20 minutes to check out as the reception staff were totally inefficient. Would not visit again.

Stayed here while visiting Gallipoli, lovely big room, huge bed and spacious balcony. Throughout the hotel everything is well maintained with lovely decor and very helpful staff.
Nice little beach at the end of the road 5mins walk. Old town 25 mins walk or quick taxi. Great promenade to cycle along.
We were especially grateful for (huge) secure parking lot they have as travelling with our own vehicle.

Hello there,

Our family stayed at the Victoria Palace hotel for over a week and I honestly wish we could have moved to a different property.

Below are a few things they should consider:

1. The staff. I was very disappointed during our stay as we never felt welcomed or that the staff wanted to help us with anything. I feel like we were burdening some staff members instead of getting to know them and having nice conversations about what we should do in Galliopoli or the amenities of the hotel. We stayed here for over a week and a half and if the staff had been more welcoming, it would have changed our entire trip. (Note: Not all staff members were like this)
2. The internet. It was very spotty the entire time we were staying at the hotel and we could barely use it for anything. It was ridiculous. We ended up using the hotspot that our rental car company gave us.
3. The decor in the room. If they had put some pictures up on the walls or added some décor, it would have made our room look less like a hospital room. On a plus side, the rooms were always clean and the maids were actually the nicest people/staff on the property besides the lovely tall dark haired woman at the bar.
3. Pool service. Pool and towel service at the pool would have been lovely. There are always going to be people who wish to use the pool and have service (beverages/food before 4pm) and not have to go to the over priced ZEN beach. (Other beaches along there are quite better and you don't have to pay $35 euro's for a towel. (Hotel didn't inform us we should grab a towel from hotel to bring to the beach)
4. The food. It was not great. Breakfast was the same every single day. The pastries and other breakfast items seemed stale. I just wish they could have done an outstanding job with the food because that would have made it so much nicer for everyone.

Bottom line, I would never stay here again but I hope that the hotel listens to some of the items above so that others can have a nice experience at this hotel.

Thank you.

Room Tip: Request a room with a balcony overlooking the pool.

Great hotel, very modern decor and English speaking 24/7 reception staff (mostly!) around an hours drive from the airport.

Nice pool, always clean, however only open for 4 hours in the morning and then from 4pm onwards, so I suggest going to the beach for the afternoon if your after some serious sunbathing :-)

The hotel offers a free bus service to the private beach, which is lovely! I highly recommend it €15 for 2 loungers which isn't terrible.
They also offer one to the 'old town' which is well worth a look around! Full of history, the castle was an insightful visit.
We had dinner and lunch in the local area most days, and prices were always reasonable - pizza was around €5-€7 depending on what you go for, and drinks are a couple euros.

We stopped at the 'whites' ice cream place a couple of times - and I highly recommend it! It's only a short walk away from the hotel

We didn't have time to use the spa at the hotel in the end, however it looked nice when we had a little look around!

Overall, a well located modern hotel, I would highly recommend a stay if your in the area!
