Lets start at our arrival, we approached two large black gates that open inwards to a small , cool, courtyard where we were warmly greeted by the reception staff and given cool towels and refreshing drinks, perfect after our journey. We signed in very quickly and were walked around the hotel complex so we got a good idea of where everything is, the hotel grounds are small so this did not take long.

The grounds and buildings appear to be immaculately maintained. The gardens are looked after by a team of friendly gardeners, the trees and shrubbery are well established and offer a very natural feel to the resort, offering an abundance of wild life and nature shade. We loved it!

Our room ( no7) was ground floor and faced over both the pools to the sea; it was few steps away from the beach , dinning area and the reception. The room was spotlessly clean on arrival and room service ensured this remained the case throughout our 14 day stay, thank you for such excellent service.
Our patio doors opened up on to a small sandy path that we used to get to the pool it and the beach; we felt a small brush on our veranda would have been beneficial so we didn't take sand into the room but we worked ways around this.

The restaurant offered a very good selection of food, wth a choice of seafood , meat and vegetarian dishes available at lunch time and in the evenings. We tried a variety of meals and, without hesitation, we can say EVERY meal was delicious, thank you to the chefs and the kitchen staff.

The waiters, waitresses and bar staff are a delight and made us feel so welcome, a really credit to the hotel. We had great fun trying to learn Swahili during our meals, Asante Sana! Personally we have to say a massive thank you for making our romantic dinner so wonderful, you all brought a tear ( happy) to my eyes and we will treasure the memory.

Thank you all for accommodating an early breakfast for us to ensure we were on time to go diving it was very much appreciated.

The two pools are fabulous, it makes a change to have a really deep pool that you can actually dive into, both offer a nice refreshing dip when the tide is out.

Marina , thank you for being so available to answer our questions.

Too all of the staff we say a very big thank you, YOU MADE OUR STAY PERFECT THANK YOU

There is only one thing we felt that could be improved upon and the is the comfort of the bed, our was very firm.

Very beutiful hotel, with African design all over. Small, but perfect in all details. The gardens beautifully kept, with white sand on the ground. Pool and restaurant areas with ocean view, making every moment of our stay a dream. One of the swimming pools is infinity. The ocean Beach is beautiful, the sand and coconut trees making it pictoresque. Ocean is warm and clean, but often not deep enough for swimming (be aware of low tide). The staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms are beautiful and cleanly kept. It is in a quiet area, so if you are looking for nightlife, it is not the place. It is a relaxing getaway. You can get around the Island by taxi and for snorkelling by boat.

Great beach, not bustling with people, good accommodations in an eco hotel set up, food is good, rooms are charming and staff is just so sweet. A special thank you to Anastasia and Marina (the manager) for being so genuinely and exceptionally concerned with their customer’s well being.
(Word of caution, walked on the beach for a couple of hours, did not bother with sunscreen as weather was cloudy. Mistake: got badly burnt)

We stayed 3 days in this hotel in Matemwe (North East of Zanzibar) and the location, accomodation and staff were fantastic.
There is absolutely nothing we could complain about.
Thank you Andrea, Marina and all your staff for making our stay an unforgetable one.
