the stay here was amazing! only stayed for 1 night sadly, but the host was really welcoming and made sure we have a pleasant stay. room was clean, bed was comfortable to sleep in, even the shared toilet is really clean. room was really spacious and private! we didn't get to use the kitchen as we didn't cook but it was big enough for people to gather and eat. really near to Roy's peak as well if anyone is planning to hike. would love to come and stay here again next time!
We love staying at Altamont! This was our family's second time - 11 of us, from young to old, and we have already booked in for another stay. A beautiful building in a beautiful position.
Lynn and Jeff run it so smoothly; it is all so beautifully clean and organised. Such an opportunity to meet with travellers from other parts too.
Altamont is a fantastic stay in Wanaka. we have been staying there for over 20 years and have never been disappointed . Lyn & Jeff do a fantastic job of masking guests feel welcome.It is truly high value, low cost accommodation in Wanaka. Love it!!

The kitchen is well equipped and large enough for many to use, while the lounge is also cosy and inviting. Also, the spa/hot tub out the back really hit the spot
Lovely place to relax while exploring Wanaka and surrounding area. Good service and assistance from the host and it was great to have our room heated on our arrival and a nice hot tub to soak in the evening was much appreciated!
The kitchen was well equipped and there were a couple of communal rooms to relax in, one with an open fire, which was toasty!
