Very interested with the concept of farm and homemade shops here. Lavender has always be a calm aromatics fragrance. This place gave us new experience about farming in a cold country. Not very easy do gardening while its soo cold. Feeling so lucky we are living in tropical Australia.

Wanaka Lavender Farm is a lovely place to visit. Rows and rows of lavender fields, alpacas, teas and a gift shop! Very peaceful, easy to find too.

We visited the Lavender Farm early June, unfortunately no lavender to see at this time but during other seasons I would imagine it would be so much better and would love to go again then. It had a delightful little gift shop which had everything lavender you could want. Creams, soaps, lotions, oils etc. The staff were lovely and the man filling up the lavender bags was extremely friendly.
Definitely would be a nice place to visit in the right season!

Not a good time to visit this place during winter. That's for sure. No lavender to see... just a plain, dry, brown farm with a bit of brown grass.

Thanks for your review. You are correct we are not officially open over the winter months. We do however usually have the Lavender Farm Shop and Honey Shop open to enjoy and our farm animals are allway here to welcome you on the farm.

Our flowering will again begin in spring time.

We live locally and I can't believe it's taken us this long to visit. Even in winter it was an absolute delight, the farm animals all welcomed us and the gardens were lovely to ramble around.

We will definitely be back in summer to check out the tea rooms!
