Multiple places to eat within a stones throw and the center of Wanaka a few minutes walk from the motel makes this a great location to stay. Management made sure we were clued up on where to eat and what to do locally and supplied discount cards for a couple of local restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.More

Short & sweet visit to Wanaka for one night for 14 people. Made to feel very welcome which was appreciated. Nice place to stay, excellent service, and fantastic location. We highly recommend Alpine Motel Wanaka.

Amazing location and is close to everything you need. Short walk to the lake and Derrick is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the area. Their kindness and friendliness actually led us to stay an extra night here. Would definitely come back here and recommend this lovely place to anyone wanting to visit Wanaka!

Everything was fantastic here for our 3-day holiday with very active 5-year-old grandson. Friendly and helpful management. Room was clean, comfortable and very well equipped, with easy access & parking. The safe and modern playground kept grandson occupied for hours while we watched in comfort, and Derek kindly offered a selection of kids' books for when grandson eventually tired! Brilliant location, set well back from road with easy and pleasant walk to shops & lake. Best possible value; the only down-side was having to leave!

We consider ourselves a family-oriented motel. We have wonderful facilities for children and parents alike, as you mentioned - whether it’s the summer months watching your children on our fabulous playground (which includes a fort jungle gym, trampoline, sandpit and our new edition - our funky monkey bars which even as a flying fox!) whilst cooking your tea on our BBQ island and then dining outdoors in our picnic area. Or in the Winter months with our huge TV's and full kitchens in our larger apartments. As you said - We have toys & books at reception if you need to keep the kids entertained indoors also. We even have a few board games available.
Oh, & we have laundry facilities.

very friendly and helpful checkin. We even managed to get a room upgrade so Dad got a big screen TV. Good referral for dinner as well as a 10%discount voucher which was great for a family travelling.
Place had a kids playground as well.

We are a family of 5 & enjoyed 3 x days at Alpine Motel in Wanaka. The room had everything required to make for an easy stay & was warm during the -2 degree days. It was a lovely gesture the management putting a towel over our car windscreen to prevent it frosting up. This was much appreciated when we left the unit in darkness to drive to Cardrona. We would definitely recommend staying here & felt it was well priced for its location
