Recently had the opportunity to stay at the motel for two nights while attending a friends wedding. The motel is clean and located in an excellent location with supermarket right next door and lake Wanaka only a couple of minutes walk away. The room was well kept and parking is available onset (although slightly limited in amount of parking available).
The hotel is neat and clean and located close to the town shops. (Supermarket is 1 minute walk away).Parking is available onsite. Only stayed 1 night, on our journey in the south island. The room we stayed in, had only limited kitchen facilities. Being close to town, the surrounding streets are flat, so you don't need to be a mountain goat to make your way back to the hotel room. Good value accommodation for short stays.
A basic, clean motel in a great location. The small kitchen was well equipped and the family room we stayed in was quite large.
Fantastic location immediately next door to the supermarket and a very short walk to the waterfront and all restaurants.
The interior is a bit dated, but to be expected for the great value price. We’d stay here again.
We recently stayed one night at the Aspiring Lodge Motel and found this to be a decent property, well located in the Town Centre
Reservation for our Standard Double Room was made through booking.com. Reservation confirmation was received immediately and we were well received upon arrival. Check-in was no more than 3-4 minutes and we were in our ground floor motel room.
Location for the property is great if you want to be right in the Town Centre. You are a short walk to many coffee shops, bars, restaurants, shops and the Lake from the property. There is a car park section that you can use if driving to this property as well.
Room rate is reasonable and space good. Decor and furnishing is a bit dated but ok. There was a small tables and two chairs, squeezed in between a small two-seater sofa. Bed was of decent comfort, allowing ok sleep. TV, Wifi, heating all worked fine. Small kitchenette items including microwave and fridge were found in the room.
Room included a patio section with small table and chairs as well. Room could use more accessible electrical outlets, requiring you to move the bed in order to use. The bathroom was spacious, shower didn't drain well and there was no lighting over the sink.
Overall, not a favourite property from our recent visit to South Island but the location is very good. If room rates seem reasonable when searching out properties, this is a place worth considering.
Very tidy and clean room, lovely wood and had all amenities needed. However, the sliding doors were very noisy and you could hear other occupants quite clearly through the walls and outside on the balcony. Woken up throughout the night by other occupants.
