if you need wifi or netflix this is not the place to be. staff are friendly and helpful but cant do much on wifi and netflix. no lift so if you are on 1 storey need to drag your luggage via stairs. otherwise clean rooms and facilities

One night stay on the way to Queensland. Stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was very nice and well equipped with lounge, kitchen, washer and tumble dryer. Bed was comfortable and bathroom a reasonable size but just note if you’re over 4”6” you’ll struggle with the shower height it’s so low . Kitchen was closed so cannot comment.
We stayed at the end of the building adjacent to the Cardona Road and I would suggest requesting a room away from the road it’s noisy until 2300 and after 0400. Also ask for a second floor room as we were on the ground and the noise from above was easily heard.

Room tip: A good 10 minutes by car or very long walk from centre of Wanaka.

We stayed here for one night on our way down to Queenstown. The hotel had very good apartment-style rooms with a full hob, oven, microwave and small dishwasher. The added bonus was the washing machine and tumble dryer in the bathroom which saved us looking for a laundry service in Queenstown. Small packets of washing and dishwasher powder were provided, which was helpful. Slight negatives are that we believed it was a 2pm check in and arrived shortly before that and discovered it was 3pm check in and 10am checkout - not sure if that was our travel agent’s or their error. - the booking confirmation clearly said 2pm. There also weren’t any drain plugs for the basin or large bath. Worth noting that it’s very much on the edge of town, so a fair walk in - we ate at the nearby Stoacker Room and had a good meal, so it wasn’t an issue, but the next morning we spent some time around the very neat (compliments to the local council) lakeside/park area in town which has several bars and restaurants and realised we’d slightly missed out. Has a reasonable gym and weights room and pools (some were covered up).

Clean room with a nice bathroom. Room was pretty small and not as luxurious as I expected from the spa hotel vibe. Didn't like the lack of headboard on the bed. Think we were a bit off season as a couple of the pools were closed and no pool towels were provided. I was a bit disappointed by the pool area, the sauna was very small, changing rooms not particularly nice. The hot tubs were too cold. The staff were very nice and helpful though, booked us a taxi for one day. Checkin/out was easy and quick.

We stayed here for just one night having left the dreadful accommodation in Haast that we were booked into. It was a lucky find as we had a large suite complete with lounge, dining area, kitchenette and washing machine & tumble drier neatly tucked into the bathroom. Although quite a big resort our rooms were quiet.
There are plenty of facilities on site, but we didn't use any of them so cannot comment.

I last reviewed this resort in March 2020, and we still love it as we like to spend a week in Wanaka each year. Unfortunately, the wifi is still as poor as it was back then despite a reply from JacobW stating that it was being sorted. It should not be necessary to stand in the corner of the lounge to get a decent reception. Anywhere else in the unit is very hit-and-miss!
This time the pain was enhanced by virtue of the fact that we could only get Aljazeera on two of the TVs. The 're-tune option was unavailable, so it must be centrally controlled.
These two things alone spoil the whole experience of what should be a top-notch resort!
