Oakridge has the best hotel gym I've ever seen and the pools are fantastic. Sadly the rooms do not meet the same standard. We had a 3 bedroom unit which was really 3 small units, so having 3 bathrooms was a bonus, however, the 2 bathrooms upstairs have no windows or natural light and upon entering we were overwhelmed by a smell I can only compare to rotting cauliflower. Having the fans on 24/7 made no difference. The first time I used the kitchen tap the arm fell out, it would not screw back in. We alerted reception who said they would send a maintenance man, 3 days later, no maintenance man... after our first night we had gone through the towel allowance as these also had to be used for the pool facilities, we had to ask for some more which triggered the rooms being serviced (thought that would just happen). Funnily, the bed in the large unit was remade and the old sheets just left on the floor!
The pandemic has provided an opportunity for deferred maintenance to be caught up on, or so I would have thought. Williams Hotels clearly did not maximise this opportunity as the rooms' paint work was in a terrible state. The antique TV humoured our children.
Will look elsewhere, but will struggle to match the pools
