We had lunch at Francesca and the restaurant had a really lovely ambience. The waiter that looked after us was friendly, attentive and knew the menu and specials well. All of the food that we ordered was so delicious, fresh, of high quality ingredients and very filling.
For entrees we had the Pawa flat bread that our waiter recommended and the seared scallops. The flat bread had a lvely wood fired flavour and was light and crispy. The topping of Pawa was very flavoursome. The seared scallops were plump and the different flavours of the mushrooms, parsnip puree and blood orange butter and chilli complemented the freshness of the scallops.
For mains we had the baked gnocchi with napoli sauce, cherry tomatos, basil and stracchino and the pasta rigatoni with the slow cooked short rib ragu. Both dishes were hearty with a delightful Italian flavour and very immensely satisfying.
We had a very pleasant lunch experience and highly recommend Francesca.
