Ok, so it was the middle of winter - but who doesn't want icecream after a day on the slopes? The flavour options here are great, the sorbet nice and smooth and the gelato so decadent we visited far more often than we should've.

So many options for great ice cream in Wanaka. Black Peak is at the top of the gelato game. Beautiful flavours from locally sourced produce. Pity they close so early. It's the best desert.

Black Peak Gelato has a great variety of flavours, high quality and friendly staff! We had the boysenberry, vanilla bean, sea salted caramel, after eight mint, coffee and hokey pokey. They were delicious!

Great gelato with a large range of flavours. There are fruit options available made with fruit sourced from the local Otago area. Try the cherry - so, so good and not at all fake tasting, like a lot of cherry-flavoured foods.

We love Black Peak Gelato. The flavours are always changing and you can get a mix of sweet gelato and sorbet made with seasonal local fruit. Love a thickshake on a summers day. Take your gelato across the road and enjoy by the lake front.
