Just fabulous from the comfort and amenities to the food.
Everything has been thought of and nothing spared. The grounds and the garden are spectacular - why stay in Queenstown when in just over an hour you can be in the best place on earth - Wanaka and Lime Tree Lodge.

Room tip: All beautiful ....

Pauline and John were lovely welcoming hosts and made sure that our every need was catered for. The rooms were furnished nicely with all the facilities you should need. The swimming pool area was lovely for relaxing with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day. The evening drinks with other guests was a really nice touch too.

Staying at Lime Tree was not only relaxing and delicious, but intriguing hearing the wonderful stories of other guests, and especially those of John and Pauline. The grounds and rooms are lovely, every amenity is provided, the chef and his food is amazing, and the hospitality is extraordinary. I won't hesitate to stay here again when in the beautiful area of Wanaka.

We arrived at Lime Tree unprepared for the warm, funny and fun couple who made all the difference during our stay in Wanaka, Pauline and John, the Lodge's owners.. Because of rain and wind, our helicopter tour of the Milford Sound was cancelled at the last minute but the beautiful manager of the Lime Tree Lodge quickly stepped in and suggested a wine tour of the incomparable Otago wineries and it turned out to be a perfect fill-in for the aborted heli-tour. Thank you, Linda, for helping us out.

The Lodge itself is small, very well organized, neat and comfortable. Our rooms were on the smallish side but we slept very well and every morning there was a delicious breakfast waiting for us, prepared by the Lodge's talented chef.
Everything about the Lodge signifies the talent, intelligence and commitment to excellence by Pauline & John, two true-blue Kiwis who combine down-to-earth hospitality, humor and insight into the joys and challenges of life.

The lodge is a few miles from Wanaka but we had our vehicle and the lodge will provide taxi service if requested.

We loved the experience and getting to know Pauline & John.

Room tip: There are a couple of suites that might be preferable to the other 4 smallish bedrooms.

Beautiful property, very comfortable accommodations. Gracious owners with a nice evening cocktail social with guests, complementary transportation into town for dinner, fragrant fresh flowers in our room. Superb made to order breakfast.
